IFF Wazza is good, my conclusion is that 1) if the Vortox chose to not swap at night, he must have killed the Witch at night, or 2) if the Vortox did choose to swap at night, Hail (starting Vortox) must have swapped himself with Marshal (starting Witch) and now Marshal is Vortox.
