I’m gonna go ahead and say that Voudon can’t join at game start due to the way its ability interacts with Vortox. Detailed reasoning below.
“Only you and the dead may vote on executions” means that on the first day, where no one is dead, only the Voudon may vote on executions, so an evil Voudon has gamebreaking potential because they just don’t vote anyone to try and trigger a D1 Vortox win.
Mind you, a Voudon isn’t inherently disallowed past D1, but that interaction with Vortox has the potential to break the whole setup, so we won’t be starting the game with a Voudon already in the town.
I like where your head’s at, but jinxing a Traveler with a Demon would confirm that that Demon type was in play if that Traveler tried to join later and I was forced to decline it.
