[Misc] BotF X - New World Chaos - Game Thread (Evil Wins)

Maybe you are correct, maybe you aren’t. It really doesn’t actually matter. I want you to think about how many of those posts will actually lead to you getting a solid conclusion of people’s alignments based off them. Very few posts in this thread in this game will seriously convince you that someone is a certain alignment. Why do people bother analyzing people if they are just going to get half baked conclusions from these posts?

I don’t really care about the conclusion of my analysis this early on with this playerlist. D1 here is “meh” precisely because nothing is actually going on that is giving conclusions on people’s alignments. Sure, Leafia is probably not Demon. And besides reads from whispers, I have very little evidence on people’s alignments based on this thread alone. I post conclusions that are “baked” or “stretched” in order to generate more content that people will be able to read into. How people react to posts, or a lack of responding @Nightingale , is what really matters to me. Not my conclusions on D1.

I’m not expecting you to reach masterful conclusions day 1, but…

Reaching fake conclusions in the form of grasping at straws ain’t great either.

They aren’t actually fake. They are real analysis that I thought of when reading those posts. The difference between those and other analysis posts though is that I would much rather stake my chances into a solid one compared to ones as flimsy as these.

I wouldn’t consider them solid considering the proof behind them isn’t too great.

Like for example with the Cloned SR, him liking a certain post could be explained in many ways other than “he’s liking that you sorted Brainwasher”

That’s the one I’m talking about. Do you think I would execute someone because they liked a post?

That’s the difference between my play style as mafia and town. I’m capable of being able to generate analysis as both alignments, but I would much rather push analysis harder than it deserves as mafia compared to town. As town I know to wait and watch how people react. Though, shoving reads down people’s throats have served as a excellent town as town in the past…

Wait why are you self-meta’ing

Also no I guess since you haven’t been pushing Cloned but, I don’t think that still excuses the posts.

You still have them as reads I assume so weh

You assume wrong. I have made it clear in one of my posts prior that I abandoned that read. Posts like that are to get a starting ground. They don’t have to be solid, and they don’t need to be excused, because there is no reason to excuse something when there is nothing wrong with it in the first place.

Again, I don’t think solid ground is SR’ing someone for liking a post when there could be billions of reasons for them to do that.

I get that you need to start somewhere, but at the same time, you can start things without reaching stretched conclusions

The most effective way to start things is by pushing people. You seem to think that stretched conclusions, or shaky conclusions, are inherently bad and that is not true.

In fact, that post has served its purpose and beyond. It led to this conversation.

I think there are ways to push people without stretching conclusions.

Inherently, if you push people for unlikely conclusions, they’re probably gonna point out your push being baseless immediately

That’s…the point? My point is to get someone to generate content that I can read into. Watching how people react to my push on them is going to generate content that I can read into.

I feel like most of that content will be NAI, as in literally anyone who goes “your conclusions for the push against me are worthless” you don’t have much to work with.

If you have much less stretched out conclusions, it probably works better since they can’t just dismiss it immediately

Well, in my experience, it generates content that I can read into. While it is true that if someone was to always react with “that’s a pretty bad push”, it would be a bad push, in practice no one ever reacts that stale. And, plus, as evident by our conversation right now, people will talk about my push, and that allows me to read into them.

Well yes.

That’s only because I just mentioned it.

I’m still not convinced for the matter tho.

If anyone pushes me for stretched conclusions, I’d usually dismiss it for bad logic or whatever

I can go back into time 2 years ago and post plenty of games where I have generated content this way. And the fact that you are mentioning this and thus are responsible for this discussion does not matter, we would not be having this discussion in the first place if those posts did not exist.

Yeah but what’s the difference between this and like any other form of solving/posting.

I think if you want to generate content, pressuring people work.

Atlas’s response to being pushed probably have some hints of AI content within if I analyzed it hard enough
