It is usual for everyone to go after the one in the lead and basically form an alliance against whoever that person is, however I’d say Apprentice/me/Jane are on roughly equal footing atm, so why eat each other alive, when we can work together and further all our position in the game.
I don’t mean to be a poor sport and I respect your position on this, but to me it’s all fair in the context of the game.
The point is fairly moot, if Jane isn’t on board anyways though. Oh well.
Oh, it is entirely common for people to see the biggest threat and work together temporarily to go after them. That’s expected in this game and entirely within the spirit.
But what you are attempting to do with the alliance is exactly opposite that. You are trying to get who you perceive as the stronger players together to push out a weaker one. I know that I’m not making it through the game, so it doesn’t matter so much to me, though I’ll continue playing along. But you are trying to gang up on PKR so that he basically has no chance.
You’re correct that it isn’t against the rules, and I understand the mindset of why not take whatever advantage you can. However, in the end this is a game, and I think most players feel that this kind of thing just makes the game unfun for everyone in the long run. Especially if you hope to continue playing more games together.
You are still in this game and have a real chance to win, especially if we follow the common trend of everyone going after #1, so don’t sell yourself short. I know, I’m not.
PKR was doing the same thing already with his “Duke bro’s” thing. This is me fighting for my own position in the game. I am just more explicit about it.
It’s why I challenged you so hard to challenge me because I knew that would make you uneasy. It’s why I told App to give you no info because it would’ve made you do it.
I didn’t want to be forced to coup.
And I couldn’t realistically avoid it in any way unless I assassinated or took 1 coin and in retrospect that might’ve been the better move to make yall doubt my Duke, meaning I could’ve claimed Duke in a future turn and made one of y’all lose an influence that way.
