yes but magnus prolly isnt being that technical here

it takes time for your lungs to fill.
if the hole closes fast enough youd effectively have pneumonia, except not nearly as bad as your lungs wouldnt constantly be filling

honestly, if we had a large enough supply of potion we could take something as simple as a butter knife and do surgery with it.
