Grenades… are actually kinda funny.
If everyone were to somehow lose WiM from overthinking stuff and throw themselves into RNGesus, then throwing grenades is most certainly the best way to see whether you are loved by Lady Luck or not.
Grenade is actually very meh for being a single use item.
Landmine though? With around 4-5 you can easily camp an area. Not to mention how insane they’re in lategame.

(Let’s be honest here, grenade is actually worse than landmine. I assume landmine doesn’t trigger when being set up, but grenade definitely attacks its user as well at the moment it is being used.)
Grenades: 50%, 4 DMG, to all players on tile when it was activated.
Landmine: 40%, 5 DMG, to whoever activates the landmine.
No, grenades do not attack the user. Just everyone else on the same tile as the user.

Landmine doesn’t too.
So, besides being a single target and having 10% less chance of hitting compare to grenade, it’s a pretty good tactical weapon.
Also, you do not need to equip the grenade. Just the action /use grenade. You will still have your other weapon equipped.

And yes, I’m assuming that the user of a land mine remembers the general placement and avoids stepping there. So the user won’t trigger it.

Oh, in that case… landmine still better than grenade. Grenade is a Range 0 weapon. Nice to have when people are ganging against you, but useless otherwise because of its 50%.
Landmine on the other hand: Automatic remote detonation. Only downside is 40% activation.

Yes it’s good for camping certain areas.
However there comes a problem.
Landmines are most effective at the middle of the map, the further away from the middle you are, the more and more the forcefield will close in and thus negate the effectiveness of the landmine.
Everyone is gonna be rushing for middle once they’re done looting houses most likely, so you’re on a time crunch.
