[MISC] VLDR 2: Electric Boogaloo [GAME OVER] Apprentice, Marshal, and TrustworthyLiberal have won!

tbf I think I might’ve been able to kill all 11 of you at once in the storage closet in Roaming 1 if I just detonated by bomb

@sulit

what would’ve happened if I just bombed literally everyone in the closet at Roaming 1

sulit probably would not have let that happen

that’s why I didn’t do it

we probably wouldn’t have killed everybody

prob woulda done a lot of damage and knocked some nerds out

unfortunately bombs were a big problem in VLDR1 so we have bomb PTSD

shouldn’t have let me succ the toilet

I just wanted to use the phrase “succ the toilet” again is the only reason I made this comment

if it was solely my decision i probably wouldnt have under the assumption that marshal flushed it

but nobody flushes toilets so solic was able to poison his knife too, although it didnt really do anything

I literally said I would hold it shut too and when you threw at all onto me I was like… well, I guess App needs to betray plans to win or something. I said for one of us to physically fight anyone that tried to stop the other from holding it shut thus not making you be framed for it >.>

i thought my wincon would be hard
i was very mistaken

I specifically said I flushed the toilet both times iirc

“Lock the three in there, you keep the door closed. I will fight anyone that stops us using a dagger.”

That was your whisper and I probably misinterpreted. Tbh I was kind of just freaking out and really scared of getting caught in crossfire if things went down

I entered panik when I logged on to the entire game burning down

i don’t remember

it was creative enough that it got gamer cred from us

Honestly the biggest thing which screwed me was everyone hanging around together.
Kinda made my wincon… like, impossible for a good while.

even with a passive that speeds up fire burning
the entire lower floor being set ablaze within just aroind ten minutes, including the stone garage
impressive

sulit restates things kat already said

I… definitely think this went better than the first game in terms of what we set out to improve on, and I think it went better overall.

But there’s some things I think went wrong as well.

The main thing I feel like I could have done better is that, I just don’t think I had enough time to give this game the love it deserved. We were pretty rushed to begin it as danganronpa begun, then school started and I play soccer, and I feel like I couldn’t spend as much time on it as it really needed. Shout out to kat for getting really good at hosting go kat yay beans.

Everyone was hyped for the game, I was hyped for the game, kat was hyped for the game, I feel like we were all so hyped that we didn’t take the time we really needed to make sure everything was good. I think this mainly shines through in map design.

@katze definitely should not blame themselves for these issues ):<

However, I think we improved a lot and learned a lot about some do’s and don’t’s both map-wise and role-wise that I think will carry over well into the next game. Learning process !!!

As kat pointed out, inacivity was definitely a problem, as a mentioned in the spec chat a lot I feel like the game would have gone a lot different if different players were in different slots. I think introducing some sort of requirement or warning about activity would be a good place to start in the next round, or not being wimps about replacing people :eyes:

There’s some weird shit people did that I don’t really want to get into because lolsalt, but I definitely do not think fake claims are needed. All alignments have a use for a fake claim at some point in my opinion. If we gave them to evils, we might have to give one or two to neutrals, oh these guys need them too, and then we’re creating a whole other role list thats just, fake claims. It’s wasted energy and it makes the game much more exciting when people have to come up with them themselves >:D

One last thing. I feel like the ability to move unlimitedly had drawbacks, not because we couldn’t process everything, but because the whole map was quickly explored, leaving about nothing for the players that weren’t online when it was opened. So I’d also suggest limiting the amount of movement people can do, or something.

ayaya!

part of your role design philosophy in my eyes was you could sort of deal with groups and also separate people with fire

i underestimated how grouped up people would be tho
