MM being promoted OP

Was princess, assassin dies N1, I find someone as spec/invest. I claim sheriff and ask for class, he claims hunter, i get him killed, he is MM

now, A NEW MM HAS ARISEN.

Making it worthwhile for BD to NOT kill an evil is stupid. There should only be a promotion if MM dies at night.

To balance the removal of promotions from day executes of MM, MM would get some new day ability like distract but it also cancels vote.

I think it is fine as is. I guess you haven’t seen how badly crippled unseen are if mm is random lynched day 2

My point is unseen went on tow in even though we made a very informed lynch of the faction leader D2

Then delay the reveal, have mm jailed.

The risk of an alchemist finding mm immune or reaper consuming souls to reap mm or random lynches mean the first mm should be replaced if it dies too soon

did you read OP?

The Balance is fine for MM promotion.

If you suspect that someone is the Mastermind, have Prince imprison them. That stop conversions until you find the latest convert.

Doesn’t need changing at all.

This is the same argument about not killing the assassin

You should never be in a situation where it is better to NOT kill a confirmed evil (excluding very particular cases involving rogue evil king and NK)

In a conversion game, it’s litterally almost never beneficial to kill a confirmed unseen/cult in the first 3 days. It litterally just raises how many people they can convert unless you are betting on them having either a bunch of failed conversions, or the BD consistantly getting 1 catch a day.

“You should never be in a situation where it is better to NOT kill a confirmed evil”

I don’t think this is true, i feel like it adds depth and unseen literally have zero chance without mm that early, none at all.

Its sometimes worth it for mm to just try and get killed in the first few days if they are under the spotlight so that they have a higher chance of winning instead of dragging it out defending yourself.

In the situation stated above, for starters idk why a MM would pretend to be a unique class that is impossible to prove but i think the only way a MM would be outed in the first few days is by a princess and if it comes back as spec/invest then just wait til day 4 and if its any other type then it isn’t MM and you can kill them.

Vandalay, erm i don’t see how it applies to cult

My suggestion to balance this is that if there is no MM, assassin is death and occupy immune

Wait a second. Then what happens in an assassin VS Possessor 1v1 if the assassin has no nightshade?

Possessor should win

Well ya but we should try to avoid situations that involve a state.

that would make assassins easier to find and with no way of conversion they are screwed.

If MM plays well it will be late game. Would you say that would be a buff or a nerf? A buff, of course, so stop

I think MM being promoted is fine, it’s powerful, and should only be executed by the unseen LATE GAME

You can call it a buff if you want it still makes you easier to find and its in no way better than the current system.

I disagree. If you play smart (kill butlers) then it is not easier to find you. Would you like MM to lose occupy immunity, as well?

Mm looks like it was occupied, even if it wasn’t
