Moley's 'Convert the Neut's' Idea

So… I’ve been thinking. With the recent changes, it is perfectly possible to end up with 4 unconvertible neutrals, on top of a 2 non-convertible BD, on top of 4 people protected by Court wizards. I feel the following changes would help the game - and might increase these classes winrates

Alchemist

  • Make it convertible. (It becomes a RITUALIST for Cult and a HERBALIST for unseen)
  • Maybe make Stoneskin Potion make it night and convert immune.

Scorned

  • Have it convert to apostle for cult, and a new class for unseen (Like…maybe Counterfeiter?)
  • Counterfeiter would have the be able to chose a player to frame each night from every player (except king). This ability would have infinite uses
  • They would keep the Troll box ability. They would lose scorned night immunity however.
  • IF the scorned has already won, they will ‘be at peace’ and no longer convertible.

Any comments?

Converted Scorned and Alch seem a-ok

Especially since converting a Neutral is already a loss

it’s more because Alchemists are so much stronger than they used to be. Popping curing poison makes me sad.

I had an idea for alchemist conversion a while back, it should be called apothecary.

Fool becomes jester.
Scorned becomes charlatan

I don’t think fool should be convertible. That class only wants to be lynched. Not sure that could be twisted by Unseen or cult flavourwise.

Can occupy, can frame others, can troll box

very flavorful, could be imbalanced because it is king of a wasted conversion

Not bad, though Avoiding overlap in names with a worse game, I say fools alternative should be trickster, or prankster, or just anything else.

Also…

CAN SCORNED STOP GETTING PRIEST AS A TARGET PLEASE!

Thank you

Alchemist becoming Herbalist defies the point of the unseen

Elaborate

I’m assuming his point he’s making is every role that is converted to unseen, has a role for it to convert to.

OK, but I was just trying to save design time. But OK, creates new unseen class if Ya want, but herbalist is fine.

Very bad idea:

  1. The only good thing about leaving an alchemist is that he is not convertable, this way BD will just kill every single alchemist

  2. It doesnt make sense that the scorned can be converted, because if they already won they will have to win again

  3. BD much stronger now, i don’t know the stats but i don’t think that those changes are the right answer.

  1. Actually, Alchemists no longer default lose if they die if converted
  2. I think I said a scorned that won should be unconvertible, no?
  3. This will make less convert immune classes - Also stops alchs running around healing poison and bleeding.
  1. My point is, that before they are converted people will just kill every freaking alchemist because you have no risk and almost no reward

  2. Ok thats a good idea for scorned.

  3. You can just kill the alchemists, i see a lot of people using their poison on day 2 or so,
you should not use it before 11-12 players left, and at least 1-2 healers dead

  1. They are pretty much killed now anyway. This will make a slightly worse claim, but they are still killed frequently anyway. Merc is convertible too, and how often is that lynched anyway?

  2. Solved

  3. Exactly. Alchemists have to be killed. But they are bleed and poison immune, can be night immune. Conversion removes them easier imo. Also those dead alchemists STILL LOSE THE GAME.

  1. Don’t claim alch
  2. He said several times scorned that won not convertable
  3. Reasoning?

Well do we have a direction to go in, at least for me, I feel most of my losses as unseen/cult, are coming from 3/4ths of my conversion attempts failing. As a MM I pretty much have to go with failed sheriff. Princess wills are mostly off the table these days due to not actually getting to use my investigations as 3/4ths of nights I’m desperately attempting to convert anything.

Failed sheriff imitation, because 90% of the time unseen is only at 2 members, which makes busing almost inviable because at least for me lately 2/3rds of conversion attempts fail.

You wait for someone to come out as investigative, well yeah that works, except that usually means you just lost a member, and that also red flags him for the CW.

The scorned idea sounds amazing. I’d really like to see an Unseen with the ability to use trollbox.
