I am thinking it can.

Let’s assume for argument’s sake that Margaret is mod confirmed town and Magnus is mod confirmed scum.

Scum have an inherent desire to live. We could force him to “buff” Margaret or be lynched tomorrow.

If he chooses to “be lynched” then it tells us that Margaret was likely right in Magnus scum and they are scared of her reads.

If he buffs Margaret then we would gain a town buff.

The converse also has interesting scenarios that play out too.

I think the only world in which that is a bad idea is SvS in which Margaret covers for Magnus but I find that world pretty low probability because she outed who she was discipled with. I don’t see the SvS strategy here.

Pretty sure Margaret is town and Magnus is scum here. The question is do we lynch him like I have been wanting or leash him.
