Offensive Reworks

I’m adding Hunter as unique on the main thread.

Interesting.

Steward is a more foolproof Transporter-like, which is both good and bad. I’m not opposed, but I wouldn’t beg for it to be added either.

Surprised that there are no Drunk/Butler changes. That seems weird.

Drunk is in a good spot right now.

Butler however… not so much. I haven’t though of what to do and most people seem to be calling for a major nerf to his feedback which doesn’t really help.

I thought the whole point of the past three balance changes was to buff up the Butler to make his usefulness on par with the Drunk’s which is probably somewhat good at the moment.

Part of them are. And they are getting close.

Butler/Drunk detecting immunity is BS.

I feel Party and Nightshade win bridge the gap between Drunk and Butler.

If it really needs a buff to account for it, we could give it one.

No. Its just not. It really just isn’t. Stop saying it is you nerd.

Investigation is part of the description of debauch. That makes sense.

Butler/Drunk stop actions, and aren’t made to investigate.

Just like how prince isn’t meant to protect. The secondary uses of an ability is still valid. Since it encourages interesting play (AKA: Not sitting there doing nothing) it is good that it is there.

My point exactly.

Prince doesn’t really fit into any category tbh. The only thing Imprison doesn’t function as is Investigation.

With Drunk you’re still gonna try and find killers.

As Butler, you can still look for patterns in the attacks and who you occupy, for one. And in addition you have Party to protect yourself.

The ability to stop all attacks and conversions to yourself is well worth giving up the more blatant investigation. Not to mention the power to kill the King.

What!?

He currently has both and is STILL weak. Its not like we are adding those INSTEAD of notifications.

Killer. Not plural. Without the check you only can find the Assassin/CL except in reaper games. And in reaper games you might just die anyway if he empowers.

Good luck doing that with the number of occ immunes, the existence of jails, heals and other kill stoppers and the fact that you don’t know which class killed any given player.

I’m personally not convinced that Butler is weak. You can already stop a kill even if you aren’t sure you did, not to mention blocking other members of the Cult/Unseen/Reaper.

And the power to kill the King is huge. It might be worth more if always worked, though.

Well, you’d still be aware of prevention. And if you aren’t sure, you can occupy them again.
