Opinion Thread: The Fool (ToL)

The MM is both a correct lynch and the best lynch.

The best lynch is a lynch that will help you the most in the current gamestate.

Or do you disagree that a correct lynch should disclude scum or include town?

Your definition of “correct” lynch includes lynches that directly lead to you losing lmao

A correct lynch is one that brings you closer to victory

So then what’s the best lynch?

the one most likely to bring you closest to victory

this is subjective tho and it depends on how much risk-reward you want to gamble with

An incorrect lynch is lynching a player who isn’t scum.

A correct one is lynching a scum

The best lynch is lynching the person who gets you closer to victory.

An incorrect lynch can also be the best lynch. That’s just how English and Mafia terminology works.

have fun lynching fool D2 then, it’s “correct” according to your definitions, nothing to argue really

A fool is not the best lynch, ecxept in nichè examples, but we’re getting off track.

My point was that Fool promotes bad social interaction, because the scum can play as a bad fool and not be lynched for it.

but in my previous scenario, MM can play as a bad NK and not get lynched for it and thus win

your reasoning leads to us getting rid of NK because it’s scum but can be a mislynch

It’s the MM who is ultimately hurt by this, as their skill goes down for playing badly.

Like, it would be best to just not be suspicious in the first place.

are you trying to make me laugh? MM making a winning play but you say they’re hurting themselves and their skill is going down? lmaooo

If you intentionally cut off your feet to get into the paralympics, would that not overall hurt you?

Wtf kind of question is this. Like seriously

If your only goal in life is to win an Olympic or Paralympic medal and you are not I. Shape enough to win an Olympic medal

It is an idea to achieve your dreams

An exaggerated analogy for an argument

The Fool has to act scummy in order to win. They have to intentionally play bad to win.
And, to continue that point, the evils push the Fool, thinking they will get an easy mislynch on a player oozing with scumminess but no, it was a fool.

So why should the evils be punished for pushing a (to you) incorrect lynch?

so I’m guessing your opinion has changed?

I wouldn’t influence the thread in the head post.
