Orangevitational - Aliens Win!

Well, yeah, that’s a possibility lol. I’m still trying to think this over, though. Guess I’ll just take the excuse at face value and move on to the next thing.

Lol no, I meant that I feel like the thread will swing into townreading Security at some point. I don’t really know if it’ll happen and it almost definitely won’t happen before they make their vig shot, and possibly not even after. But let’s see.

i think cryogenics and teleporter are the two roles that should not telegraph their actions.

  1. we’re going to figure those actions out regardless, so there’s nothing to fear about the wolves potentially lying or withholding talking about it.

  2. by telegraphing their actions, we’re giving wolves a way to work around these roles. it’s like if you played a jk 9er but the jailkeeper blatantly telegraphs their target every day phase. unless there’s only one wolf left, there’s no point because it’s not going to stop kp unless we somehow hit exactly the wolf odd night kp with it.

i’m not going to fight anyone on this, but it seems prudent to me that we don’t telegraph the actions of roles that mess wolves up the most

That’s a very fair point.

I’ll be real here - my wording is terrible for all of the posts before I switched back to my normal playstyle/typing habits. Any suspicion because of that is probably deserved on my end.

Eh

I could do the flimsy excuse thing as scum any day

side note, but changing my theme on this account made me appreciate a certain theme much more.
might use it going forward.

yeah, that’s what I thought the last time I alted lol.

I feel like town coroner just cares a lot more. They have arguably one of the most powerful roles in the game and I think they’d want to be more involved.

The people with more content weren’t easier to read because I couldn’t tell then apart from memory and I didn’t have time to iso. Coroner was easier to remember because they’re a two poster with a quick iso.

@Scientist do you have a top town and top scum yet?

this is a 2-poster. and both posts are not about the game, really.
a wolf in this position, with two posts and neither one conventionally “good,” would likely be referred to as a frozen wolf.

but the posts themselves do not look like the posts of somebody who’s frozen. in fact, they seem farly relaxed.

therefore, i propose this:

coroner is town.

discuss.

I had some thoughts on it already that I wrote earlier.

this ^^^

You see, the “actively doing nothing” part is annoying, and NAI at best. I will not argue for a townread on Coroner, but I also think we shouldn’t kill the slot until they give us information on at least one flip just to see where they’re at and whether it seems feasible (but also to give them another day to actually post, because I somehow get the feeling they don’t really exist because they may not be checking here very often).

I think they’ve done exactly nothing and need to put in some work into this game or else they’re pure PoE, but like me, they get their feedback overnight and it should also be factored into reading them based on when and how they out their information.

i feel like engagement is more of a player thing than a role thing, and frequently gets influenced by whatever happens outside of the game, if not in the game. i think coroner’s commentary so far is indicative of the player caring about ace attorney more than the game itself.

and i actually think that’s villagery, because it’s pretty clear everyone else cares about this game to some extent. as a wolf, they’d probably feel obligated to fit in, or at least offer something of value, so that they aren’t yeeted or vigged. this player decided to post twice, once about ace attorney instead of orangevitational, and dipped.

sure, it indicates a lack of interest in the game, or lackluster interest at best. but i fail to see why that’s wolfy, especially since neither post looks like something a frozen wolf would write. there are no excuses for lack of content, the tone is not apologetic, and they aren’t trying to appease anyone.

This is something I can definitely agree with.

Valid points, but I’m not jumping to read them either way them yet. I’m not going to gauge their alignment until they post more.

realistically, suppose coroner’s alive tomorrow and outs their result.
i think they’d just give us the result and dip again, judging by how they’ve been playing until now.

how would that change anything in terms of reads on the slot?

Top town would prolly be trapsetter

I don’t have a top wolf right now, my reads on a couple people have changed and o want to do some isos to figure that out

If I answer that, is it going to skew a future read on them because of my preconceived expectations?

maybe, but this isn’t why i’m asking. i’m asking this question because it feels legitimately pointless to “give the slot time.” i don’t think it’s going to improve very much, and i don’t want it to become a misyeet option later in the game if it’s town (which i currently think it is). i’m currently deciding it’s town and we shouldn’t overthink it.

Theres not anyone to appease, though - the pressure on the slot was mostly just for them to post.

Idk, I’m not thinking very well. I’ll go to sleep and think about it when I have a brain again.

this was worded very weirdly, my apologies.
I meant that I am pretty sure I know how I would read Coroner if they out their results and dip, but if I say how I would read it, it could possibly change how they behave if they know how it will be interpreted.

I see your point.

I think there’s actually also a chance that Coroner won’t bother to backread any of this when they do return, so I guess it doesn’t matter whether I say what I think or not.

Fine - if Coroner outs results and dips, I will very likely townread them for it.

Interesting, someone else scumread me for not being apologetic. I don’t even think I was being apologetic here, but whatever I guess. The interesting part here is that Teleporter was actually apologetic when confronted about their derpclear, yet you didn’t mention that. I can’t help but feel this isn’t a genuine thought when you’re selectively choosing who to apply it to.

I don’t think this means much in all honesty. It’s easy for wolves to jump onto these things which may come across as conviction when in reality they’re just trying to push villagers for low risk reasons.

If you were a wolf you’d expect backlash? Why? I don’t follow.

…Right after this, you said “i’m literally clearing them”. Funny how you missed this part out.

This is a good take.

How the hell are people supposed to townread security though? You said yourself they’ve done nothing towny.
