- Give him a day ability to bypass death immune at night (2 uses)
- He should be able to jump the night king exe him, its bad enough that the prince and drunk can stop him from jumping.
Posssssor is also weak for both of his targets must not be jailed.
Unless he uses himself.

The Possessor has a win rate of 7%, compared with the Reaper and Sorcerer’s respective 12% and 16% win rates. He needs more buffs to be put on-par with the other 2 NKs.
The main problem with Possessor is he has no win condition. With Reaper, once you get down to the night with only 6 players left, you have a very real way to win by reaping the king. Unless you’re low on souls or you are occupied somehow, you can basically assure your victory.
Sorc just needs to survive with cult/unseen. She has a number game she wins late game by there just being enough evil classes.
Possessor… has no win condition. Outside of relying on alchs, he never has majority vote. Also with the inablity to pierce death immunity, King is the biggest counter to possessor, who can even win the 1 v 1 with him. Add in that the ability Possess, while great early game to make it confusing, is absolutely useless late game with players ability to make codes and anyone with death immunity.
Possessors targets are no longer healed. Hopefully that helps.
I think it was really stupid that Possessor lost one of his uses of Possess. If it were up to me I’d give him 4. Possessor needs to be a big deal in the game … Possessor is really the clown of the evils right now. Even if he outsmarts BD he will not outsmart Unseen/Cult because they find out who he is so easily. Also the deathnote bug is STILL not completely fixed.

Yea. Just make Possessor as Reaper v2.0. In this point wouldn’t be better complete rework and rename it?
The problem is possessor just straight up loses to a late game king. And this is because the possessor has no win condition. No matter how many uses we give to possess, he still won’t be able to have a point where he says “I win” until there is no king, no immune targets, and 2 other players with it being night time. Which this very specific scenario is true of all killing classes.
While I would like to think of something more elegant than “ability that pierces immunity” I have to wonder what we can even do.
Small buffs I would like is for possessor to get the results of their target the night they possess them. I.e. possess a princess. Princess targeted 4. Possessor knows 4 is special/invest.
Might even be interesting to give possessor a day ability where he assumes the roll of his possessed target for the night to blend in better. This can give him a chance to pretend to be certain classes more easily and can play the long con until that end game scenario I described earlier.
This is actually prety neat. The problem i see in possessor is that he’s more harder to play for casual/decent players compare to the Reaper. Yes, i would he’s actually balanced, he’s relying on deceive and keep swapping with players but the real potential can be wielded by veterans.

You’re definitely not wrong. Possessor is harder to play and, by extension, to win as when you’re new. However, I think Possessor is still really strong early game, but it doesn’t matter how good you are at Possessor if players can check list everything and deduce “hey, this guy who claimed Drunk hasn’t debauched for two night”.
Again, Possessor has a much harder win condition than any other NK. When it comes to immunities, Reaper can bypass with Gather Souls and Sorcerer doesn’t have to kill MM and the King can either be evil or be bypassed by having majority votes with the Unseen/Cult. Possessor never reaches that game state and needs something to help him over the hurdle of “Five players left” to get him to the last night. Any time I’ve played Possessor games, he’s usually been able to last until then, and then we just deduce “Oh, Possessor jumped to X because they have no logs”.
Then just don’t jump into Drunk claims if you don’t need to. Better is to kill those type of classes that can confirm themselves pretty easy.
Then how about to buff his strong points like leaving a fake body and fooling the court, giving him an abillity like:
Shapeshift (Day) - Swap your class and abillities with possessed body tonight. - Infinite uses
Instead of giving him bland and out of theme “Piercing Death Immunity”.
Then he must been very stupid to not even try to fill the logs. It would be only the player’s fault.
I agree with Possessor being easier early game…
but late game is all what matters for people who win alone.
And currently late game for Possessor is abysmal.
Ok it is not all what matters. But see it as a bottleneck…
While very true, you can’t always know who they are. And sometimes you need to rush a jump and can’t always “pick” who you want. Even if you jump into someone with non confirm abilities, others might have more confirmable abilities, and you can deduce him out.
Isn’t that literally what I suggested? I fail to see the argument here. I think Immunity piercing would be stronger, but I find this more thematic.
