Priest should be occupy immune during resurrecting?

There is sometimes this discussion in chat during a day, that someone claims Priest and is told to revive somebody to prove it, but ofc bad people listen to it too and occupy him, so Prince cannot revive and dies to treason next day. This is a little stupid I think, Priest should be able to perform his only real action during the whole game.

I disagree with this, classes such as the Servant (Unseen) and Invoker (Cult) can use this to their advantage and get the Priest executed, if you make Priest occupy immune then I there would be less strategy involved with Servant/Invoker.

the more occupy immune players there are, the less good occupying is.

This is why CW is good, they could make them occ immune.

This “Strategy” is pure bullshit, because all you have to do it to press your ability. YOU KNOW PRIEST WILL TRY TO REVIVE OR HE DIES NEXT TURN, SO YOU HAVE 100% ACCURACY IN THIS “STRATEGY”. Really, you think this is anyhow skillful? Every idiot would do occupy in this situation as Servant or Invoker. I think this is bullshit. This is especially visible in Cult games, Cult can easily have 1 or 2 invokers with many charges left.

the whole point of occupying is you can stop people from doing action.

Man, I talk from my experience. It just feels completely wrong, when Priest cannot even perform his only real ability, because one of many invokers just denies it by clicking one button (any idiot could do it). It should work like Hunter’s Spike Traps (the occupy immune part).

Counter play Is critical in any game

Only if the priest is outed and no one is available to protect them, and the bad guys have an occupy role. That’s a very specific set of circumstances. There should always be some sort of counter for character abilities, I think the Priest’s counter is reasonable.

You guys have no problem with “Spike Traps”, but there is problem with Revive? Where is logic in that? This is the only action Priest performs whole game, and it should be relevant.

You sir are completely wrong. This situation happened to me like 3 or 4 times already (I have ~90 hours of playing) and every single time it felt completely wrong to me.

Basically, if everyone was occupy immune, it would defeat the purpose of Butler/Servant/Invoker. Don’t fix which isn’t broken. It’s a legitimate strategy

Not in Cult games though. In Cult games Priest does nothing whole game and dies to treason, because he cannot even prove himself whole game. But if you think this is skillful for Cult’s invokers, then ok, it is your opinions.

In Cult game Priest is completely helpless, because he has no ability that can be proven, and he is denied revival by simple occupy. Every time it happened in my game I felt that it was completely wrong.

Priest Imo should revive the first dead bd player anyway.

If your doing that. Your playing the game wrong. Your supposed to transfer info to living from the dead. Revive makes people Convert immune so rezzing a butler would make them butler for the rest of the game until they die. Priest is a BD power class. If you still aren’t convinced, I don’t know what will.

NozBugz - I just told you I played this game already 90 hours. I know all of the Priest advantages, you don’t need to specify them for me. I just tell you a situation that happened to me many times and it felt completely poorly balanced. And I wasn’t the Priest in most of these situations, I usually was looking at this and I felt so helpless for BD, that Invoker can so easily win a game for cult in such situations - and with zero skill required (every monkey would occupy in that situation).
