Probably the Dumbest Gamemode Idea | Parallel Universes

Parallel Universes

Probably the Worst SFoL Idea that someone has had the displeasure to read

The Basics

Players will get two classes (of the same wincon)
Each day, the game will swap universes. Giving them their other class and possibly a different gamemode

King, Prince, Mastermind, Assassin, Cult Leader, Spiritualist/Revenant and Non-Killing Neutrals will stay the exact same on swap.

Neutral Killers turn into a different Neutral Killer

If a player was converted, they will change into their other class’s convert on universe swap

(yes Cultists have to make 2 cult alt sets)

Players will only flip their first class on death which is why a new investigative will come into play
The Archaeologist which converts into the Gravedigger

This mode is also able to mix gamemodes because why not. (It will only work on gamemodes that I include in this list with some minor changes)

Gamemode Class Alts

Return of the Blue Dragon

Show

Good King -> Unseen King
Evil King/Devout King -> BD King
Prince -> Kidnapper (This Kidnapper is Convert Immune)
Mastermind/Cult Leader - > Negotiator (will have night immunity if player was Mastermind. Will also be unable to be replaced if the other universe is an Unseen universe)
Assassin/Oldest Cult -> Insurgent

Skeletal Snakekeeper -> Death Enforcer
Skeletal Serpent -> Death Knight

(As well as this, if you are a non killing Blue Dragon and there are no BD Killers. You will turn into the Insurgent. You will turn back into your converted Cult class on phase swap if the other Universe consists of Cultists.)

(Players that are the Assassin in the other world that has a classtype of Killing in this universe will not turn into an Insurgent)

Siege on Xed

Show

Prince -> First Mate (definitely not obvious)
Skeletal Snakekeeper -> Death Knight
Skeletal Serpent -> Death Enforcer

(and because Xed is pretty much a reskin, nothing else)
(Players will still be on plunder in a universe change)

Universe Unique Classes

(These classes are unable to be given to two people across a game and will be immune to Outsmart/Swap Out)

  • Priest/Soulcatcher

Double Unique ≠ Unique

Examples

Billy Phase One is Priest, In Phase 2. He is a Private Investigator.
Nobody else can be Priest/Soulcatcher in Phase 2

Example of Unique. Not Double Unique
Patrick is Hunter in Phase One and he is a Mystic in Phase 2
David is a Mystic in Phase One and he is a Sheriff in Phase 2
(rng was weird here, okay)

RotBD Class Changes:

Faction cap stays consistent the entire game.

Guaranteed classes will be Guaranteed in both modes.

All other class cards are taken from their original thread

Pug I literally just posted this exact idea in the ttsfol discord

ah shit.

Do not kill me for plagiarising.

I did not see your post.

wtf is the skeletal snakekeeper or the skeletal serpent?

(Xed shit my children)

though I might remove it as a main ability. if it’s considered too stupid

this is not a game.

it’s just a gamemode for SFoL 25

no i have no idea what they refer to at all.

def gonna need a xed postgame class discussion thread because there’s quite a bit that needs reviewed

Xed will only be included in this if I patch it to make it better

Xed Variant for Priest?

  • Add in a Xed variant for Priest
  • Don’t add in one. Plunder abilities will make for an even more broken class and just make someone who rolled the Priest immune to Outsmart/Swap Out
