Quartermaster[BD Support or maybe Killer] + Steward[Unseen Support or maybe Offensive]

The Quartermaster

Blue Dragon Something
Recognisable Craft(Passive) - You will know when someone uses an ability you gave them and who they use it on
Falsify(Day) - The equipment you give tonight will fail to perform its purpose - Infinite Uses
Give Shield(Night) - Give a shield to a player, during the day they may choose to exchange their night action for “Use Shield(Night) - Use your shield to protect a player or yourself”, if the Shield was falsified then it will not protect anyone - Infinite Uses
Give Sword(Night) - Give a sword to a player, during the day they may choose to exchange their night action for “Use Sword(Night) - Use your sword to kill a player”, if the Sword was falsified it will not protect anyone - Infinite Uses

The Steward

the same but the sword is a dagger that occupies but the people you give it to still think it is a sword(will do proper writeup later)

Credit Plex who helped me with the name, he is awesome and I think he’s okay I guess

Huh. Interesting.

Probably underpowered tbh

Spending a night action just to potentially let another player kill or shield somebody is fairly weak.

I think I’d be giving falsified Swords to people I trust the least to see what they’d do. I like the idea of the “aha!” moments with this kind of deception. I’d be handing real Shields and Swords to weak, confirmed BD members (CW without Ice Barriers, Priest without revive…etc.)

It’s just…slow. You’d use either falsify Day 1 or not, give a shield/sword Night 1, wait for them to accept or decline Day 2, they’d perform this Shield/Sword action Night 2, then Day 3 you get to tell BD what that person did with it. There is a 2 day delay in which the game state can change drastically.

This is like an Alchemist that doesn’t get to choose who they heal or kill. Instead, they let their teammates make decisions for them which can be an immensely frustrating experience and will lead to a lot of flaming.

I like it.

typo.

Other note: Make it stay support, its not really a killer. Could potentially be social even.

Not even close.

well I mean it’s technically true

Yes, look at what sketch said.

You give people stuff, potentially false stuff, to see what they do.

That’s nothing Social though.

So… “to see what they do.” like how Observer watches somebody to see what they do? So Investigative then?

It’s very social.

Someone has to see if you lie, etc.

Would you call the noble an investigative for seeing whispers? No! He’s social!

Then again, ToS Spy was an Investigative and could see whispers…

But no.

This Class Suggestion isn’t Social. It’s Supportive more than anything. You’re offering support for the most part.

No one cares about ToS! EVen then, ToS didn’t have social types!

Nope, you are investigating.

Investigative roles give clear, objective information.

“this player visited this player”
“your target is a member of the Unseen!”

The Quartermaster does not give investigative information. If you make your own conclusion over how a person uses a shield/sword, that is a subjective opinion. You do not obtain hard facts from the QM’s abilities.

This class essentially plays a mini-game of WIFOM with its target. The receiver of said sword/shield has to think “what does the Quartermaster think I’ll do?” WIFOM logic is not investigative.

This is a support class if anything.

I think this could be amazing. Can you protect yourself with the shield infinite times? That sounds OP

Four night abilities though…

it only has 2, that give other people night abilities.

Question.
When using a falsified item, will it still appear to the user as if they had used an actual item, and that they targeted someone, or are they “mysteriously occupied”, and, do they actually visit the target, but the ability has no effect?

I just realized how good this role could be for confirming some roles such as CW or Knight since they have no reason not to use it. You could also do something like gave a fake sword to a phys claim. If the person is an Assassin claiming CW/Knight/Phys then if they want to kill off important BD like outed Prince they have to reveal that they aren’t protecting him. And since it replaces a night ability then if for example you give it to a CL… Awkward much? Conclusion: this role is better than you might think if your good at scumreading. This is not a bad thing btw.

It doesn’t just replace a night ability (if I’m reading this right), it only gives them the option to replace their night ability

@RopeStringFace this class does nothing even remotely social

half the talk here is about using it to scum read. It is the ultimate scum reading class (besides king). Scum reading is social, so might this class.

Correct but not social in terms of roles. Scum Reading is more of passive thing that everyone can use.
