“But of course…”

I didn’t go anywhere. I just don’t think I will have the time to be consistently available, which is what being a host requires.
I like designing setups, but when it comes to hosting, I believe the time constraints are too much and would result in an unpleasant experience for some. I’d rather not torture people with delayed action processing too much.

I’m also really bad at keeping promises and being consistent. Once I get better at that, I might host stuff with the confidence that I can pull it off.

Until then, I’d rather fix those issues of mine before trying anything.

And by the way, I might start playing here again on occasion.

how do you apply to be a reviewer

Probably ask I guess

Pretty sure reviewing won’t help much since there is a 12-game limit to the “Waiting to Start” list.

I’m just wanting experience to help me design my own setups as well.

In my opinion its p dumb not opening up the reviewing process once a games done to help people design better games and learn from reviewers.

Plus less work for reviewers if people know what they need to do beforehand.

I thought becoming a Reviewer was mainly to give experience, and not gain them?

Maybe this is dumb but the reviewing process atm is p secretive which isnt very helpful for anyone tbh.

…aren’t there constant SFoL Reviews, or were those threads just figments of my imagination?

What do you mean by “what hosts need to do beforehand”? Just look at OPs. That’s kind of all you need to know.

ur prob thinking of the discussion threads

  • How is “reviewing process not being made public” a problem? They’re boring steps and Q&A anyways.
  • Why do you think everyone wants to become a host? Why do you think players need to know what hosts do?

Yeah. Aren’t those enough?

Why do we need extra unnecessary steps of “making the review process” be known?

In the first place, all it does is: “Make sure everything is following the rules,” and “make sure that everything is balanced.”

–I have one complaint regarding this matter though, but I cannot disclose about it for the time being.

because the review process can be translated to
‘how to verify that your setup is balanced’
I think that should be known to people

I mean
I feel like I know enough to review, but not enough to make crystal clear perfect 100% setups

I thought this is based on gut feeling and common sense instead of a thesis?

What is even your goal? To be a reviewer, or to be reviewed? It shouldn’t be the latter, since you hosted WoW FM, but I don’t see what you plan to do as a reviewer.
