Oh I forgot that Marshal was death bound.

Obscure reference to me nonetheless. With 4 horsemen, I don’t see it as a signal of death, but as the apocalypse.

So Jake votes Marshal first for a long time. Then goes to the counterwagon on Amelia (THAT MARSHAL IS ON???) and then votes no lynch for some reason as well right before EoD. Vulgard’s case that I quoted earlier explains how fucking weird this is in more detail.
