So this is the bit where I looked at Hippo’s 2 ISOs, compared, and didn’t like it. This was my answer.
Then Marshal’s suggestion is, ‘go read X and Y games’ and then today ‘have you even read a scum game of Hippo’s’
I call it out as stupid, because if there was a tone change why go to even earlier games…but then everyone just kinda agrees with him today. I did a paragraph instead of a wallpost for that ISO, because I didn’t think people want to read them. Guess I shouldn’t do that, because I got called out for it >_>. Eh well im going to do whatever feels right for the situation.
But alas, I guess ill do this anyway. I know Hippo will immediately write it off as a tone change and others might be opportunistic or agreeable or just flatly say no to my points without an actual argument but I don’t get to know that till its posted.
Im going to use the games, NUF(town), this game. I looked for a while and didn’t see a recent mafia game and comparing 3 games is too much anyway.
a lot of purposefully ignorant posts that kinda give off a passively forward vibe. Hippo’s the person to get in your face and try to annoy.
The things I cut off were mainly votes and fluff but this opener is much less read focused and much more eh lets go fool around. Nothing particularly wrong with that for a start, but its a stark contrast. It does have the mention of PKR and mode but that is definitely the minority of his posts.

They still don’t give reasoning for more of it, but they organize multiple people really early on of what they think of them
Cloned was right about reasoning being few and far between, but Hippo was being extremely active with giving reads about what he thinks of other slots and how they’ve moved in his mind.
I wont continue quoting NUF, I do think you get the idea im trying to get across about what Hippo did in NUF.

Something that just doesn’t come up again, but Hippo was on Alice’s shotlist and Hippo asked why. No reply, no mention of this again. feels odd that Hippo would just take to something then let it slide.

These are actually a great look for Hippo. Reads weren’t backed up by any reason, but they do organize a few people into a readslist of sorts. Not even any strong reads, which is ironically just like em.

so this is the part I realize that ive written/quoted too much and nobody will read it, so Im going to just get to the point(s?) now.
Hippo can be a townlean. I went into this thinking they’d stay in my shotlist but they don’t. Maybe its just that I don’t like the way they play, but their forward and arrogant in their town meta. They have reads, tell them, but don’t provide alot reason for them both here and in NUF. They have confidence I don’t really understand, some posts that look forced but generally looks like similar ISOs(for the first 100 posts of each, anyway) and everything I particularly didn’t like was the same.
This is a meta read. If it wasn’t a meta read, they’d be in my shotlist.
