The other thing is that it feels a bit like a perspective slip, since the context implies that Geyde has changed his mind correctly by changing from pushing me to pushing Solic.

As somebody who has been falsely accused of perspective slips before I know that it’s not that reliable, but it certainly dosen’t make things look any better for him.
