like… I knew from the beginning of the game that it would most likely end sometime between D3 and D4 depending on the mislynches, and that gave me D1 and D3 to track, so all I had to do was bait and force the wolves to either kill me before I could out them, or they’d be found out because they couldn’t kill me in time.
