When I asked about the situation, I was told that there was a mod error and that there was no fixing it since the game was irrevocably changed by the cupid action having resolved before Merc knew they had made an error.

But that makes no sense, CRich would know he got the wrong class card

See, this is something I just can’t see CRich missing. I mean, if he chose Mafia and ended up as Town, then he wouldn’t have scum chat as expected. How could he miss that?

I don’t think he understood that the setup was one in which he got to pick his role.

Osie claim makes no sense either.

I can bite into mod giving him wrong card, despite wanting to pick scum.

But I cannot understand why mod would give him role from one, modifier from second and aligment from third.

Yes, this still bothers me a lot, too. Also the fact that CRich never even hinted at a problem like this having occurred. And he was definitely complaining about other stuff in the game.

It wasn’t even talked about in the role PM. I think CRich understood the role system even less well than I did.

Did he discuss it in Scum Chat then?

What are you talking about? CRich didn’t say anything about the mod error. I messaged the mod confused as all get out and they told me there was an error.

Did you ask why mercenary didn’t simple give CRich’s actual role to him?

I don’t know why he didn’t call it out. All that was in the PM all game was: asking about roll 1, response, asking about roll 2, response, town cupid role PM, /Logs in which Rich claimed and ranted about how worthless he considers Seth to be.

That is it.

I messaged the host some questions in Discord DM to understand the setup. One of those was expressing confusion about the reroll and how I could possibly be a Town 1-shot Cupid (Specifically with the modifier).
