You said earlier that CRich was trying to get certain roles and alignments both times. But now you say that you don’t even think he knew about picking. This really doesn’t make any sense. I mean, if it was ambiguous somehow about what he was choosing, it seems like the host would ask him to clarify. Especially when there were two times for picking. And besides, CRich is not the type of person I see completely messing up on stuff like this.
If that has something to do with how I asked him for his thoughts on day 2, and instead he just shaded Wiisp for his day 1 and then dipped I agree with that assessment

He posted something to the effect of never having picked role cards before, and he spent more time in the role PM ranting about Seth than he did talking about his role. There was so little to go off of that I figured I was replacing into a slot formerly held by a habitual slanker and edgelord.
This whole conversation has left a really bad taste in my mouth, tbh. Is angleshooting about role PM patterns the norm of things on FOL?

I had them barely above null. I had gutread some of their posts as solvey. The lack of contribution in general was keeping them close to null. Their response to being run up was horrendous, though, so they dropped to a scumread.
Not sure what you think you’re finding here given that the “wasn’t even talked about in the role PM” very explicitly was me saying that Rich did not ask any questions about the setup in the role PM. He said that he was unfamiliar with picking role cards, picked two role cards, submitted an action with an offhand comment about it likely doing something, and ranted about you, then subbed out. He made no comment about what his role was. He just accepted it as is.
Honestly, I’ve said probably more than I should about the role PM in the thread already. I’ve said all that needs to be said to understand the situation. I’m incredibly disgusted by the level of angleshooting “Oh, I don’t believe that Rich wouldn’t comment on the error that the mod didn’t even catch until Osie pointed it out in confusion” which seems to be the only reason anyone has for voting me.

The thing is, you brought up mod error in the first place as a justification for why a player would have Town Cupid as a role. So it’s kind of unfair to mention that and then not expect people to question the validity of that.
If we want to go back to before the whole mod error discussion, then it comes back to why would any player choose Town Cupid since it is such an anti-town role. Which still brings it back to thinking that your slot is scum.
