No, it’s not. I have shot wolves who were falsely green checked because they were obviously wolves. That was on a bad day. I’m not saying my reads are good (LOL) but I’d argue that vigges shooting based on reads is often better than shooting based on mechanics.

This was Marg. She didn’t bother making reads and would always rely on RNG.

If your reads are good enough, you can go against the mechanics. Because godfathers exist. It’s only in this setup where godfathers are night immune.

Fair enough. I think that’s the line between making a play and throwing, when it comes to yolo shooting, indeed.

remember “HOLD ON LEMEE GLADIATE THE PRIEST!”?

“HOLD ON LEMEE DAYVIG THE WIDELY TOWNREAD ALIGNMENT COP D1!”

I kind of want her ban to be lifted for DRFM just to see what she’ll do d1 this time.

That’s kinda the last reason I’d consider as valid for an appeal :joy:

But she’s amusing.

But… point is kinda, FoL people love to resolve mechanically and by claiming. Probably too much.
I’m not 100% sure about how to help this. I think, teaching how to do good reads would be kinda a way, but my reads myself aren’t that good. I think they are okaish, since sometimes I find some wolves, and if I tunnel a townie I often stop tunneling after a while. Cause… if you want to stop them from claiming, you have to show them that they have a legit alternative.

Shift the lynch on another player. Post why you think they flip wolf. This usually works for much of the average-level players here.

But… that’s pretty anti-town, if you don’t have a good wolfread.

Since in the end, as town your goal is not to survive. You want your team to win. If you shift the guilt just on another player, it can create a TvT thunderdome situation. Also, you should want to rather die than getting a more important class lynched :eyes:

Then shift it to a Cult/Unseen/NK lol.

But in the end you don’t know if the person is town or not.
Like in this match, I battled myself with Arete. It almost got one of us lynched. Then we realized that we are both town - noone else realized it tho.

People were scumreading Arete for a very stupid reason. Of course he knows that Luxy is the Prince, I posted it on the OP that the Justiciar knows who the Prince is from the get-go, so it was kind of their fault for immediately assuming Arete was pocketing him.

Tele is town too, isn’t she. Sigh.

Yep. You were all right on Solic, though.

Reading is kinda like random pushing, then looking if the answers of the other person are genuine or not.
This kinda means… you maybe shouldn’t push your scumreads but your townreads. So you can build a proper towncore.
Meta reading is kinda not good at all, it’s mostly confirmation bias.

I usually just try building a towncore on this site to solve games. People here don’t bother posting when they rand a non-town role a lot so I kind of just try to find villas and then lynch everyone outside of it. Usually works well as what happened in PyMM and Short Fuse IV.
