It doesn’t “prevent” it, it just discourages it. If the people want to claim or not… that’s their decision
It prevents a D1/2/3 massclaim, which can theoretically solve in FoL if the night actions were submitted in an exact pattern.
The theory on anti-claim is sound.
also because in large games wolves need KP and why not kill two birds with one stone
Okay, it’s D2. How many people have claimed? Lul
D1 the wolves managed to mark 6 people for outright claiming/softing. So yeah lol.
A massclaim is every single player claiming or fakeclaiming.
I guess not me, since I fake claimed? Or is fake claiming discouraged too?
No, generally the wolf KP dosen’t work on fakeclaims.
As in the claimvig KP.
Claimvig is just dangerous, because it makes throwing really easy. You are pissed on the game and wanna throw? Just claim.
Claimvig does make sense if your players want to play a non-claiming game. If they don’t want to, it’s kinda just making the game scumsided, while adding nothing.
That’s a risk we take because claimvigs have an overall positive influence on the gamestate. Giving claiming a risk has so much positive influence that it’s worth it. It dosne’t exactly eliminate mechanics, it just means that you have to be sure you have a way to deal with the claimvig before it’s 100% worth it.
also because large mechanical games pretty much just don’t work because since there’s more actions than players every cycle on average there is therefore exponentially more information the larger the game
I hate how people on this site love to throw. Not on mechanical way, because that’s kinda really really hard to do (I guess one of the closest ways to mechanical throw is to yolo shoot n1 as BD). But do you see how many people are trying to get themselves modkilled, or try to get themselves killed on purpose, or replacing out as evil just because they don’t like to play evil?
yolo shooting n1 as BD is not gamethrowing if you have good reads
It’s not throwing. But kinda the closest thing to mechanical throwing which exists.
And you never know if your reads are good or not.
generally a good sign that your reads are good is if you shoot people all the time and they seem to flip w a lot
If your reads are good or not is irrelevant, since the intention counts, not the success.
…Are you saying that if you fire a vig shot n1 you are assumed to be gamethrowing even if all you’re actually doing is making a hero shot on somebody who’s obviously a wolf
Like I said. It’s not throwing.
But yes, shooting someone without having mechanical leads is kinda… really bad play.
We had a player on this site who always yolo CSed n1 as Knight. Most times it got them killed AND another BD.
