Okay. Strange take. But I think… might it be that the reason why some particular people want anticlaim classes, is that they themselves might be pretty bad in using mechanics?
good in mechanics is a relative concept, especially since being good with mechanics is the same thing as having good reads
But being good in scumreading doesn’t help you if you don’t know how to counter their class on mechanical way - except when you are able to lynch them on the same day.
That was my problem in this match. I was Drunk, but it’s kinda pointless to redirect random scum, since you have to redirect the killer…

almost all wolf actions are ideally targeted towards villagery villagers, so if you redirect them towards wolfy players of either allignment their action will lose a ton of value

In ToL you are using Drunk this way: you redirect scum either to other scum, to the king, or to neutrals.
Well, think about it. ideally, you want to move a kill action from a villager to a wolf, right? So the ideal way you do that is by moving them towardes wolfy players, because wolfy players are more likely to be wolves [citation needed]. Even if that person is not a wolf, the action has lost value because the wolves always want to kill outside of the PoE.
Well, but the person might have such an important class, aka PRINCE, that this might backfire, especially since Princes don’t claim normally. Especially since prince behaviour is pretty equal to scum behavior.
so basically just have good reads and don’t misread the Prince
