See here is the thing:
TBE claims Executioner and then proceeds to rescind.
Most people think he’s wolf: With the intention of outing the real Executioner.
I think this is a hasty conclusion.
People aren’t thinking; they need to think from two perspectives here: V!TBE and W!TBE.
What’s the story behind a W!TBE? First of all, though in PoE, TBE wasn’t a set and stone lynch and had potential to escape it. If he made his claim, why did he rescind it so early if he intended to bait out the real Executioner? Is TBE competent of doing this? Yes he is. But I don’t think he has the confidence to try and do such a bold play as a wolf.
I can accept TBE’s reasoning for doing so (from a town PoV)- and I don’t believe the tale for wolf!TBE to be particularly likely.
I don’t agree with the play, but I don’t think it comes from wolf perspective. And wolves are likely trying to encourage his execution if he’s actually town.
