Gilbert defending Thomas day 1 isn’t a good look at all

Dude I feel like you can answer this question yourself

I do like how Jane starts solving from the beginning. Some of the conclusions seem meh, but there is an effort it seems.

The only thing is that I see very few reads from Jane and tons of questions about reads and a bit of sidelining/kind of hanging there. What reads that are there are almost 1 liners/snap reads. It just seems like they are on the sidelines trying to look helpful.

I hate these posts completely. Like the reasoning for just suddenly jumping on the Ivo wagon is terrible when they indicate they weren’t confident in the wagon to begin with. This is probably biased, but I feel like the reasoning behind going from Ivo to me feels opportunistic at best.

Conclusion
I think Jane’s vote on Ivo was opportunistic and the reasoning for the vote is shit. Jane starts out solving, but doesn’t really follow through with that and kind of sidelines. It also seems like they aren’t really putting out their own opinions too often and just ask for others opinions on the game, which kind of feels like fake solving. I would call this one of my scum reads

just ignore that Thomas and the thread shrinks quite a bit. I can’t believe the aftermath of Thomas v1 is this bad. I personally want to see whoever was Thomas v1 blacklisted after this is over

I’ll be incredibly disappointed if Thomas v 1 is anyone who I don’t mind playing with.

You are true about that. And I admit that I did sideline a little bit. But well, I did put out my own opinion, and I am not really asking for others opinions on the game as I just want to tell them to put out some read.

That is what I only have to said about this post.

And no, I can’t really answer this question by myself, can you please clarify @_@

Catching up on >400 posts. I’ll respond to people as I go.

I believe the strength of Geoffrey’s conclusion does not match the strength of Geoffrey’s arguments in this post. I’m not sure what he is seeing there that is so “town-motivated,” and “town-motivated” is not something that guarantees someone is town, either. I read Mary’s entire ISO myself, and I reached the conclusion that she is above the null line. Geoffrey, however, considers her almost lock town, and reading his explanation for the “why” did not make me consider the read justified. Make of that what you will.

This statement is especially questionable to me. Why do these posts written by Mary “ooze towniness” in your eyes? I read them myself, more than once, and I don’t think a competent mafioso would be incapable of writing them.

It’s possible Geoffrey is simply unable to fabricate a convincing explanation for his read, because it is not a genuine read.

My vote stays, for the time being.

I think it’s dangerous to assume the experience of each player in this game, since everyone is anonymous. I haven’t used player skill as a justification for my reads for that reason. The only time I did was with Nicolas earlier, just because the posts sounded like they were written by a pure villager with little self-confidence.

I still think Nicolas is my least confident townread, but it is a townread nevertheless and I do not feel uncomfortable with him staying above the null line.

It’s a little strange that you are doing this “respond to someone when it’s not necessary at all” thing again, but this time, you’re targeting me. That said, the fact you did this and targeted the person who accused you of it… you’re bolder than I expected.

Considering my recent read change on Nicolas, I believe this. I won’t swap my vote until I catch up entirely, though.

This looks like a towny mindmeld.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Nicolas was a wolf just from that post tbh, he’s a player to keep an eye because I always find people who question day 1 reads and opener reads tend to flip wolf.

Not liking Gilbert either

Alice’s ISO is very helpful in picking up the important bits of the thread and leaving out the rubbish which is a good look for her

Good post which sums up my thoughts about Gilbert’s arguments nicely. God I love having the work done for me

What a coincidence

Susan trying to shut down players for having their thoughts in thread I don’t like at all. She seems to be actively aggressive too.

Very good post

Players who hyperfocused on thomas despite being asked not to:
Edmond Bailey
Nicolas Adams
Mary Savill
Andy Bernard

Everything in Alice’s ISO seems very good and I agree with basically all of it, so I’m pretty confident agreeing with concensus on Alice here and putting her as town. She’s actively making reads and not going with the thread flow and her ISO is a perfect recap of the important bits of the game I think, with all the rubbish out meaning she’s actively seeking important posts to analyse, so I think she’s town at this point.

Mate I literally replaced this slot before Thomas’ slot was replaced

…Oh, I just realised what did you mean by that post.

All of these are PoE

Just those are in your PoE? Or there are many others that you haven’t included in yet?

And well, honestly, I feel like it was a bad PoE to kill from anyway.

posts in question

I think they ooze towniness because the the tone in Mary’s posts are (a) innocent/genuine (b) they are trying to solve and ( c ) I like that they have their own takes instead of just asking questions

:face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I think Mary deserves bonus town points for still posting reads and solving, despite people still focusing on Thomas.

Tonereading this post as from a wolf

So where do you place Mary

If it isn’t obvious Mary is in my top 5 town reads right now
