Also, why did the Gilbert wagon disappear? Thomas 2 has been gunning for Gilbert for this entire day, trying to convince plenty of people and having the advantage of being in a generally townread slot (“unfortunately townread”) who is never the last night’s convert. And somehow, there is only one vote on Gilbert’s wagon.
I’m still uneasy about voting Gilbert, just because I think he could be town, but I still find it strange he isn’t being voted by more people in the current situation.

Well, the insistence of Gilbert on scumreading the dead BD means that he/his faction at least didn’t kill Susan.

It’s possible. I’m surprised you don’t seem to think so. You were by far the hardest pusher of Gilbert, after all, and I would expect you to be more skeptical. I assume there’s a good reason why you read it as genuine?

This is likely to be a controversial opinion, but I do not believe that anyone would choose a fully anonymous game for one of their first forum mafia games. This type of setup tends to attract people who don’t enjoy metareads, being metaread, or both.

Why is this important? Because it’s the reason why I’m not taking Gilbert’s supposed townslip for granted. He could still be town, but the “townslip” isn’t something I intend to clear him for.

It’s strange. Gilbert’s depth of thought seems to revolve mostly around neutral reads / reading the “problematic players.” But this depth only appears spontaneously, and most of the time, Gilbert’s reads come across as rather shallow. I haven’t figured out the difference yet.

Thomas 2 could be correct that it’s because a scum Gilbert finds it easier to look for neutral evils. That would explain why Gilbert’s depth of thought increased when he talked about Thomas 2 being a potential Sellsword.

It’s strange how he keeps focusing his more extensive reads on the Thomas slot instead of any other slot in the game. It comes across as narrow-minded.

Gilbert, can you… read anyone except Thomas? Many people I read as town have already requested this, and so far, you haven’t delivered. I fail to understand why. What is stopping you?

I dislike Peter’s push on her, but that is a preflippy read/opinion (because I considered Peter highly opportunistic) and I am not going to rely on it.

Just in case that I don’t manage to post a full response in time, my initial impression of Peter’s post was that a different person had written it. It was so different from what had come from that slot before, from style, all the way to the depth of thought.

Before I get to that, I have a question for whoever reads this – are there any other people you would be inclined to wagon today? Several of my main suspects don’t seem to be in contention, and it makes me somewhat suspicious of what’s happening.

I’d be fine wagoning Andy, Mary, or Gilbert. I’m just about to check out Helen and Jane, but I’m finding myself super lazy today - blargh. Also Peter is someone I’ve considered putting a vote on. The unfortunate thing is that none of Andy, Mary, or Peter really… exist? And I don’t know if that will change?
