[SFoL Consept 3] RP Style

In NozBugs grand idea game there was a class who had the ability to do anything you could reasonably do with a towel at night. For example you can stop bleeding and strangle someone to death but you cant cure poison at it’s not strong enough to block a knife.

So I am proposing a SFoL where classes work like that in general. Basically your class card gives you some tools, skills and character traits depending on your class and then you can do whatever would make sense given those tools. In other words if you can say HOW you do it then you can do it.

In addition to this there will also be some locations some classes can interact with.

For example this might be the observer’s class card:

Observer

Inventory:

  • Binoculars
  • Lookout tower key

The Observer could use the lookout tower key to get into a lookout tower to see who enters and exits someone’s room. However they could also go into the lookout tower and then watch his own room or simply watch the hallway without bothering with the tower. I would probably give classes enough tools to do what they are normally capable of but then also enough to let them get creative. For example the observer would not just see that someone was in the room, they might see the actual murder unless they were being stealthy about it. Just an idea.

There is also the fact that items such as knives have more uses than just stabbing someone and investigation skills can do more than find suspicious documents (not to mention psychological manipulation)
