I do townread you, but I believe you should think twice before lurching so far into a read off of a five word opening. I had just woken up and made that post before I had read anything.
I’ve always been told openings are very important. That’s one of the takeaways I’ve learned in my short time here.

Does Magnus REALLY claim Royal Blood as scum with no knowledge of whether a Governor is in play or not? Just the claim alone means he’s GOING to get check by a Gov.

So he’s either legit…or Mastermind if its unseen game.

He wouldn’t expend a real invest class to confirm his claim…Governor is a class that wants to get confirmed Royal Bloods.
However, I do see this power move quite often among wolves: Softing or hard claiming your class to get townlocked. Royal Blood is a town trigger but Shadowy Presence can turn back a false positive.
Claiming unless u really have crucial information for the current gamestate is super suboptimal in this game in general. Last time we had a big claimfest and scum were able to just counter us by deliberately helping with night plan and making sure certain people get targeted. We need to be Wifom as hell if we do plan, and be careful of letting big shots like the real arbiter claim (which they almost never should)

Yes, it is suboptimal always
If we are to believe Magnus is scum, he should only turn up as Mastermind. There’s an observer class in this format and I strongly recommend them to follow Magnus tonight.
On second thought, it is not worth revealing your class early as HoB, even if you think you’ve been acting scummy and invests will waste a day on you.
invests wasting a day is better than scum knowing who you are
