[SFoL] SFoL 60 - Randomizer - Day 3 (14/18) - The Blue Dragon and Mercenary Win!

@Italy

for what it’s worth, I don’t know if this is going to make you feel better or worse but inactivity wasn’t the only reason I was socially scumreading your slot, there were a few other things that were pinging me about the posts you did have

Something to note regarding my pushes is that as a wolf my pushes generally tend to be very consensus-y and when it comes to my townreads I don’t fight as hard as I do for them, meanwhile as I villager I usually am the one who goes out there for the pushes and I will defend my townreads far more strongly than when I’m a wolf.

Like, compare my push on Appel in SFV with my push on her in RM4. In SFV I was basically the only one who was actively pushing on Appel regardless of Vulgard’s approval or not meanwhile in SFV I was playing more patiently and only began the push on her after I noticed that the thread opinion on her allowed me to ML her.

I do the same thing regarding my townreads. I was hard-defending Maxi in LotR even if that basically made everyone scumread me while as a wolf I just let them get mislynched such as what I did to Ami in FoL27.

Like, I noticed this difference when I was analyzing my past games as for some reason I’m townread way more often when I’m wolfing then when I’m a villager, so I wanted to know the reason for this. Turns out that people incorrectly wolfread me a lot as they interpret me pushing my reads that they disagree with, which happens often as my reads usually catch the entire scope of the game, as powerwolfing while I’m basically townread as a wolf as I basically pocket them by being more subtle and indirect with my agenda and letting the village self-destruct themselves.

In short, yeah.

@DatBird learned the hard way

Well D1 there isn’t much info. So no surprise I talk about mechanics D1.

I mean it’s hard to define agenda without preflipping. But you were 100% off and even though you were obv not heretic, I still felt like you had big traitor energy

It’s something I took into account this game
Opposing consensus is seen as scummy

It’s not a bad thing if that consensus is well founded but a decent amount of the time it isn’t

Opposing consensus is actually very villagery.

Wolves are aware of this so they will usually be very safe and consensus-y with their reads, while villagers will just go after whoever they scumread.

Alice
How do you read my slots usually

Same

when I was a newbie wolf I would intentionally pick specific anti-consensus reads to push to try to look villagery :eyes:

Tbh, I didn’t bother doing much reading this game. I was a Merc, so as long as people were not lynching Poss or CRich I was happy.

Opposing consensus being villagery is dependent on if that consensus is good for scum or not

when I was newbie wolf I went with consenseus when scumbuddies were townread and town were scumread and against consensus when that was the opposite

If they’re being anti-consensus then see how their view was formed or if they’re just being contrarian for the sake of being contrarian.

If they have very narrow reads such as them focusing only on 1-3 players, that’s wolfy.

If they have reads that aren’t changing regarding a flip such as their push have been pushed by a flipped wolf, that’s wolfy.
