you mean kill someone based on hearsay
they throw people in the dungeon because someone is committing a crime, so everyone has to claim in a dark cellar infested with rats
they break into peoples rooms to investigate randomly, without any reason to suspect that person…
these are not the actions of the good guys.
they dont keep them in a dungeon for trial, they’re put up on the stand to claim
its the closest thing they have to justice, in their world that is filled with suspicion. Everyone is a suspect
they have reason to suspect everyone. They know there’s evil about in the castle, and they are just trying to find the evil.
and executing people as their only form of justice to try and find the people killing people for their own needs is better than people killing random innocents with self-serving motives.
