Some Changes to Classes

Your list has a problem. It’s a false dichotomy. A class can have a method of proving while also being a fake claim so long as there is either: a potential reason for not using the ability or: a method of faking it anyways.

Something who only has something like that is what I would call semi-fakable:

Princess, Hunter, Observer, Court Wizard

Of those observer is perceived as being catagory 3 (unfakeable)

hunter is a gamble… he I will agree falls into the grey area. His giant weakness is of course, not knowing if there is a real hunter, and of course the real hunter can kill him.

I put princess in fully fakable category from the start because whisp is now see if someone attacked somebody… that kind of falls into a totally reasonable BS guess, and her results are pretty easy to guess and read.

Observer, we both agree, 100% fully un-fakable.

Court wizard… he’s only fakable due to faulty logic of many players. Proving yourself is 10x more powerful than any other hypothetical ability in the game. Throwing a random tornado day 1, is pretty much a 90% chance of catching someone, it would be a massive gamble for unseen/cult to fake claim a tornado on day 1, as if anyone visited either of the targets they claimed without being redirected… the gig is up right then and there (again this is of course in a hypothetical world where most bd players pay attention. If we were compensating for players that don’t know the rules of the game than prince is claimable because the real prince will always assume you have a good reason to claim prince.

I actually don’t support any of these proposed changes

You’re forgetting neutrals. Scorned that has won, Inquisitor, Mercenary, Alchemist and even Fool are also valid as fakeclaims. I do agree that the list is too small though.

May you give a reason why?

I can give you some if you want.

Sure, go ahead.

Let’s start with the Mastermind Foresight: Well this is hard one it gives you a nearly perfect Observer claim however I do prefer the current Foresight as it’s bit more useless in my opinion.

Now Hunters Wolf: This gives the Hunter the ability to make someone bleed during the day while I do like that some people might think that it’s bad because with this you don’t need to chose between attacking someone or defending yourself.

Then Assassins distract: This gives the Assassin the perfect Butler claim. Which means with this ability the Butler will become a scum claim as it can be easily faked by Assassin and The Invoker.

And now Drunk’s Debauchery: This is a bit too strong as the Drunk as already pretty strong but boring no need to give him immunity to being converted.

Now the Herbalists change: Well this does not make sense to me as all his abilities are offensive.

Honestly this was kind of hard as I agree with most of them.

To address your concerns:

A hard one for me. Burrito has made a convincing case for why Mastermind shouldn’t have this foresight and I definitely see where he is coming from. It would just depend on if we want Observer like he is in his current sate.

This change has already been implemented into Forum of Lies , so I guess i should add that if you use wolf , u cant use bear that night and vice versa.

I no longer request this change becuase the sellsword exists now :stuck_out_tongue:

Believe it or not , this actually weakens the Drunk. If they debauch a reaper they die, and even if they succesfully debauch someone they need to have a second thought on whether it was an attack they debauched or a phys/alch healed them. Conversion immunity only applies to his debs.

This does not make sense to me as all his abilities are social.

Really does it? It seems so obvious to me that they are offensive.

Explain how they are offensive.

No it’s your turn. Explain to me how Herbalists abilities are social.

Gladly.

Take Drug. It’s an ability designed to confuse your target by giving them false information. What two other abilities do this? Frame and Mind Warp. Abilities on Social classes.

Now take the Herbalist’s defile. again, it’s an ability designed to confuse your target by giving them false information. Another ability in the realm of a social class.

Soooo basically because other Social Classes have similar abilities?

They generate misinformation(social), they dont meddle with other’s actions.

I could see why you think it would be offensive. But offensive PREVENT information coming through in the first place , rather than false info.

Drug and Defile do not and can not apply or influence and effect or status. They can only change your perseption of an effect or status. That is the definition of social

Well you do have good arguments. But why didn’t they change it already?

Because not enough people have said they care and they have had bigger problems to deal with. It’s not like they were quick to change Sage or anything.

Well it isn’t that big of deal to me personally so I understand why they would focus on other things.
