Some Investigatives Reworks (Done)

Princess

The Princess, BD, Investigative :mag_right:

Passive 1: Royal blood: Same as usual

Night Ability 1: Flirt: Same as usual except if you’re target is framed he will appear as offensive/killer

Night Ability 2: Inner Soul: discover a player’s exact class type, 1 use
Changes:

  1. Replaced Princess’s wilo-wisp ability with a new unconfrimable ability making classes like seeker, MM, and duchess claim princess without having to confirm using wilo-wisp
Duchess

The Duchess, Unseen, Investigative :mag_right:

Passive 1: Royal Blood: same as usual

Night Ability 1: Bat Lashes: same as usual.

Night Ability 2: Dark Energy: same as dark wisp

Changes:

  1. Changed the name of dark wisp to dark energy cause why not?
Detective

The Detective, BD, Investigative

Combination of the Paladin and Sheriff, will not be informed if it’s a cult game or unseen game.

Day Ability 1: Detect: Same as scout

Night Ability 1: Detection: Same as expert investigation and test faith

Night Ability 2: Surveillance: If you’re target is visited by the MM or CL you will prevent them from converting the player and you will be informed that a CL/MM tried to convert your target but you will not learn the identity of the MM/CL, 2 use

Changes:

  1. Made Pally and Sheriff 1 class because the player does not need to auto know which faction their fighting plus it will make a Scorned win a lot easier
  2. Gave it a nerfed version of old Surveillance
Sleuth

The Sleuth, Unseen, Investigative :mag_right:

converts from Detective

Day Ability 1: Expose: same as usual

Night Ability 1: Sleuth: exactly like probe

Night Ability 2: Perfect Disguise: disguise all unseen members to appear as BD, 2 use

Changes:

  1. Just changed the name of Probe to fit the class’s name
  2. Added Perfect Disguise as a tiny buff
Observer

The Observer, BD, Investigative :mag_right:

Night Ability 1: Follow: same

Night Ability 2: Window Peek: find out a player’s faction, if you run into a hunter and he bears he will kill you thinking you’re trying to break in and kill him

Changes:
1.Changed peek a bit because lore

Nightwatch

The Nightwatch, Unseen, Investigative :mag_right:

Passive 1: In The Dark: if you become an assassin you’re movements will not be seen (can change it if too OP)

Day Ability 1: Stop Watching Me: same as distract but it’s for 50 seconds (if it is too OP I can change it and if it is to UP I can change it too)

Night Ability 1: Follow: same

Night Ability 2: Watch Carefully: same as peek except it gets classes not factions

Changes:

  1. Gave it a distract ability since I think that’s useful and fitting for it
  2. Gave it the passive so it can be a buff and it is fitting
Seeker (done) criticize it now

The Seeker, Cult, Investigative :mag_right:

Passive 1: Nothing For You: If you die, you’re logs will disappear, only the cult will be able to see them (if it is too OP I can change it)

Day Ability 1: Expose: now 2 use

Night Ability 1: Gaze: same

Night Ability 2: Identify: it is now exactly the same as probe and it has 3 use

Feedback/suggestions are always appreciated!!!

  1. If you’re duchess finding out a player’s faction is useless since you MIGHT find nk or a fool or seomthing but it’s more likely to be BD(like 90% of the time)

  2. Dark Wisp is actually useful… you can hide yourself and the other unseen from investigatives. What do you mean it’s useless??

  3. Framed targets already show up as K/O so this entire thing was a nerf to princess

  4. Detective is too OP in cult games tbh and surveillance is already really powerful and is unnecessary. The investigative do not need a way to protect themselves or others, as this would give MM/CL a really hard time(even though it is slightly nerfed)

  5. Sleuth(the ability) is useless. Probe was actually useful. Perfect disguise is literally the only ability you’ll ever use and is too op on converted detectives and if an obs follows you they’ll know you were converted since you didn’t visit anyone.

I’m kinda bad at writing so here’s the shortened version of things: These changes are a giant nerf and completely unnecessary. I would not approve of these changes(merging the paladin and sheriff might still be considered).

Well not really, if you find a killer you can use you’re discover faction to find out if they are BD which might mean they are prince or you can find an NK using this strat

Not really, Well this surveillance is more like smite except it doesn’t kill could make it 2 uses, it also isn’t slightly nerfed it’s a lot more nerfed, the old one confirmed you and other players

lol I kinda got a bit sleepy what I meant to say is it’s exactly like probe except name changed, you could make it visit one unseen only

  1. Finding a killer class and then checking faction and then telling your unseen and trying to not get caught or die takes too long and is too hard. 3/4 killer classes are BD anyway, and you can usually deduce if it’s not or some BD class based on how talkative they are or how much they whisper the king. I would rather have the current duchess that can deceive and hide the unseen tbh. More unseen classes need to be able to hide probably. Determining the exact class type is better but Marshal and Night watch already both have it. Maybe you could have it reveal all classes that visit the unseen that night?

  2. Dark Wisp has actually saved me and the unseen a lot, when I do get to become Duchess that is. Hiding unseen, finding out exact class type, and the chance of becoming an Evil King is really powerful.

  3. I think surveillance will make it too hard to convert people. Also in cult games, where conversion is key(opposed to Unseen, which is more about staying hidden mostly), it’s a bit too powerful imo. Maybe give him a new ability that let’s him check if his target is visited by the cult/unseen that night but have it infinite use?

well I was just giving an example you could find a support/offensive/investigative/social class and do that too, also the sleuth having a hide ability seems more fitting.

Never saved me, always made me lose because I wouldn’t have good results that night, maybe that’s just cause I have bad luck, I’m gonna have a poll and see if people like it or not

this would be even more OP then what I have put in, I see no problem with the current one that I have made because it is literally in the game except this one can’t kill

Willo-wisp is already being replaced with something less confirmable. And it’s more interesting than this.

This is EVEN MORE useless. You already know who is in your faction and it isn’t important who the Neuts are and you have other means of finding them anyway.

Well dw cause it’s probably gonna be replaced based by the poll, also do you think the ability called surveillance that I gave detective is to OP? I mean it’s already in the game except this one doesn’t kill

I don’t think so, the only problem is it is a slightly better version of the CW’s ability (notification plus without the occupy immune drawback). But as an ability itself it seems fairly reasonable, especially in exchange for not checking someone that night
