Sorc/Inq Reworks

Current Inq/Sorc dynamic isn’t great.

  1. It takes no effort as Inquisitor. The Sorc has no great claim, so will often get lynched without intervention.
  2. Swinginess, if the Inq yolos with Ruthless efficiency they have a 1/14 of simply winning and removing the NK.
  3. A sorc game is a huge advantage for Unseen/Cult, since the NK isn’t after them.

So I thought I’d draft a bunch of suggestions.

Nuclear's Rework (Tweaked)

Sorcerer

Neutral Killer

Passive: Mage Armor: You are immune to death, occupation, poison, and bleeding. If you would die visiting someone, you instead do nothing. (Bear, Defend, etc.)

Passive: Rivalry: When the Inquisitor is dead, you lose your cool down on Magic Missile.

Day Ability: Power Shot: Ignore the cool down for Magic Missile tonight, and make it bypass immunity and healing tonight. 2 uses.

Day Ability: Magic Cloak: Make yourself appear to be a class of your choice tonight. 3 uses.

Night Ability: Magic Missile: Kill someone. 1 day cool down.

Night Ability: Circle of Death: Kill all visitors to your target. 2 uses.

Defeat the Blue Dragon, Cult or Unseen, and the Inquisitor

Inquisitor

Neutral Killer

Passive: Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!: You are immune to death, poison, and bleeding. Your visits don’t count as visits.

Passive: Rivalry: When the Sorcerer is dead, you lose your cool down on Ruthless Effiency.

Day Ability: Holy Hand Grenade: Your will attack your target tonight. Bypasses immunity. 2 use.

Night Ability: Ruthless Efficiency: Kill someone. 1 day cool down, does not trigger if you kill a magic user.

Night Ability: Find Magic: Detect if someone is a magic user.

Defeat the Blue Dragon, Cult or Unseen, and the Sorcerer

Neutral Offensive

Passive: Mage Armor: You are immune to death, poison, and bleeding.

Day Ability: Magic Dust: Make everyone appear to be a magic user. 3 uses.

Night Ability: Curse: Occupy your target, and prevent healing and guarding on them. Unlimited uses.

Night Ability: Circle of Death: Kill all visitors to your target. 1 use.

Passive: Failure: If the Sorcerer is killed by someone else, or the Sorcerer is alive and you have no charges of Ruthless Efficiency, you will commit suicide.

Night Ability: Find Magic: Detect if your target is a magic user. Unlimited uses.

Night Ability: Ruthless Efficiency: Kill your target. Bypasses Sorcerer’s immunity. 2 uses.

Not saying any are perfect, but explain please.

I’m just throwing out ideas.

I actually kinda like this.

1: Two NKs simultaneous might be a little hectic. Also the odds of either one winning is very slim. So many deaths each night, even with those cooldowns.

2: So no actual NK? Inq seems like a weaker Scorned in that he only has 1 target and since Sorc isn’t killing people, they’re not an immediate threat for BD to take care of. That “prevent healing/guarding on them” doesn’t do much either since you can’t effectively communicate with the Cult/Unseen.

3: All it takes is one bad lynch for both of you to lose. That would cause a weird paradigm where two rivals are trying to make the other look good during the day so they can kill at night. Not a fan of this one.

Overall thoughts: Maybe but probably not, no, and no.

I believe he ment that they spawn with Reaper or Possesor.

It’s 1+3 KPN. Not that large. And that’s only if one of them doesn’t kill the other before they can use all of the kill boosters.
