Hey, I experienced today for the 1st time a relly awkward situation. Someone (psychic) was only speaking what appears spanish or portugese and we couldn’t understand him. I know it feels like racism and we ended up executing him because it broke the game in the sense that he could have been lying and we didn’t know.
I have the following question: It is not against the game rules to speak other language but what is your stance on this as, to me, it is a delicate matter ?
It IS against the rules to speak a language other than English in public games, it’s absolutely okay to speak it in private games with other people who speak the language. But that’s the only time it’s allowed.

“English only” is pretty common on things like Twitch chat for the simple reason that a person can’t be expected to know every language on the planet and moderating it quickly becomes impossible.
This is a game that is completely dependent on people speaking a common language. If you don’t speak English and instead start speaking in Romanian, then you’re effectively throwing the game for everyone on your team. Not to mention for all anyone knows you could be espousing the virtues of National Socialism and the dangers of The Jew.
It’s not remotely racism, it’s reality. You speak the language of the community, until such time as there are different servers for different languages (if that would ever happen), because… again… the entire game is based on communication. If you literally refuse to or can’t communicate with anyone else then you’re trolling 15 other people.
