People have been saying we should throw out class ideas, so here’s one. Please note that numbers you see (such as sacrifices required) are not firm, and obviously would need testing.
The Ascendant:
Passive: Holy Vow - Immune to occupation and redirection at night.
Passive: Undying - Instead of dying at night, you lose one sacrifice and come back to life. Begins with 1 sacrifice. (basically reaper passive)
Day Ability: Ascend - If you have at least 5 sacrifices, become the ascended.
Night Ability: Sacrifice - Kill a player and gain one sacrifice.
The Ascended (NK)
Passive: Holy - Immune to all forms of occupation and redirection (can’t be bypassed).
Passive: Reborn - If he dies at night, he spends 1 sacrifice and comes back to life. (unlike reaper, he loses one sacrifice per death, so if he died to poison AND an attack in one night, he’d lose two sacs).
Day Ability (1 use): Ravage - Kill a player immediately (like hunter’s arrow)
Night Ability: Purge - Kill two targets, bypassing immunity, visit prevention, etc. Gain one sacrifice if one of your targets dies. (like reaper’s reap)
Basically the Ascendant needs to hide and kill 5 people in order to become the Ascended. BD can stop or slow this by using Happy Hour or Jail, CSing him, along with the unseen or other neutrals attacking him. Alternatively they can find and execute him. He’s pretty weak while he’s the Ascendant.
However, after he gets his sacrifices, he becomes the Ascended, an obscenely powerful godlike being which cuts through all in his path.
Let me know what you think and what ought to be changed! Thanks.
