The Castle Of Lightwood (Roleplay thread)

Here’s a few rules:
1 : use common sense ! This means, no metagaming (using OOC info in character), etc.
2 : don’t interact with others character whithout their permission while they are offline. (the king IS a character)
3 :If everyone involved in a fight agrees, you can resolve combat only using RP actions. Otherwise, you should use rolls, applying the roll modifier in your character sheet.

It’s another morning at the castle, and the door open to the crowd… people swarm in the main hall… many persons hope to speak to the king. Others are here to entertain themselves, as shown by a little circle of people around a bard. In the middle of the main hall is a big statue of the king magnus lightwood. it describes every single one of the king’s achievement: they include defending the kingdom against countless invaders, and exterminating the threats that were vampires. It also looks like guards are everywhere, guarding the stairs to the second floor, where royalty lives. The door isn’t the only access to the castle, and in the undergrounds of the castle, a number of scum plan their next plot…

(unfortunately, i will not be able to participate for some time seeing my computer is currently broken)

enters the castle though the swarm of people

“Next!”
A pair of guard leads the merchant and beggar away from Magnus throne. He can hear them grumbling behind his back, but the fairest solution makes everyone unhappy most of the time. His head is itchy under the heavy crown, yet he composes himself as the next petitioner walks up in front of him.

waits his turn

(whats the kings name damafaud?)

A mug-faced shepherd comes next. They complain about the increasing disappearance of their lifestocks.

Shepherd: The witch girl is at fault! I saw her singing to an old tree in the middle of the night, and then-
Magnus: Mere superstitious! These people with power are not cursed! I will send a group of hunters to decrease the wolf population, but no more.

With a gesture of his hand, the guards escort the smug old shepherd out. Magnus wipes his brow. The increasing amount of people with so-called power has been nothing but trouble to him lately. His advisors mention their great potential, but the people… well, they own mixed opinion at best.

“Next!”

One of the two guards goes up to the man and tries to take the sword from him.

the sword is made from a black iron and it weighs near nothing and is a strong as normal iron. the craft appears to made of a master

thank you my lord takes his leave

The guard takes the sword and offers it to Magnus. He takes the sword and starts to admire the craftmenship.

“May I know your name, young man?”

my name is varis my lord

"I am not very knowledgeable in the art of blade, but I thank you for this glorious gift. "
Magnus makes a mental note to tell his nobles about the great craftman

bows in respect you honour me

The king commands one of the guards to put the sword in his bedroom, sheathed properly, He spends the rest of the day meeting petitioners, as he often do on the second day of the month.
