20% winchance is very high, Ici. It’s a very good chance.
not in a team game where that could be the combined chance for 75% of the players.
You are clearly not talking about ToL.
(actually in ToL it’s more like 60% because of conversion and neuts but whatever)
yeah
personally I’d much rather lose because the other team played better than because of how the rand worked out
(my point still stands. the point is that which players are saved from their objectively poor win chances by conversion is basically arbitrary and based on which class you randed and how appealing you are to the wolves, something that has to be out of the player’s control, which is almost worse?)
You can do that in a forum game.
In a pc game that’s awful.
you can accomplish a difference in difficulty without a difference in expected winrate.
Classes with greater complexity are harder to use, but are not necessarily stronger for example.
And for example, the BD and NK do not have the same difficulty, but that difference is stable thus making it not swing. Even if they had the same winrate, the NK would still be harder due to it being practically impossible to be carried.
are you saying that losing because you got outplayed is now bad?
No?
I say losing is great. Losing doesn’t matter much.
But losing to the rand and losing to actual skill are the same to you?
You JUST claimed the losing because the other team was better is bad.
I rather lose to rand than to skill.
I don’t see how ‘the team that played better should generally win’ is controversial
like from my point of view that’s basically like ‘grass in the summer is green’ being controversial, it’s just … obviously true …
Why!?
Because you can’t change the other players of your team. This is not a “we against them” game.
It literally is.
a fucking team game isn’t a “we against them” game???
This game has not the possibility to have consistent teams. In each game you play with different players, most are anonymous.
If you really want to lose to RNG instead of enemy skill then play a roguelike. Not a competitive multiplayer game.
