Welcome to Hope’s Peak Academy!
Game Set up
- Each player much choose a skill or attribute to be ‘Ultimate’ of - this must be unique to you, and can not be the same as any other player
- The game will mostly be conducted via PMs, with only general assembly announcements and class trials taking place in the thread.
Game Mechanics
- Most basic actions are free (walking, talking, eating, picking up objects etc).
- The game will be divided into ‘Day’ and ‘Night’ phases
- Day will last from 7am - 10pm, with night lasting 10pm - 7am
- Day phases will work in turns lasting 20 in game minutes. Any action will last that amount of time except talking (which can be conducted via PMs i’m included in with people in the same room as you, but talk a lot and time will pass) Failure to act quickly may result in lost turns.
- Night will proceed as I see fit, with various actions taking various amounts of time.
- Although you may ‘set-up’ and plan murders during the day, they can only be committed at night.(optional rule)
Survival Essentials
- You must eat twice a day (Except Day 1, when you only need to eat once) or face escalating penalties.
- Eating takes 1 hour
- You may eat whenever you like, but each meal must be at least 3 hours apart
- You must sleep 6 hours a night to avoid fatigue penalties.
- You may sleep during the day instead, but it will take 50% longer to achieve the required amount.
- You will be woken by all announcements (Morning, night, trail beginning, Assembly announcement, body discovery)
- Interrupted sleep will require an additional hour to complete.
- You must use a toilet within 3 hours of eating or face action penalties.
Becoming 'Blackened
- You may contact me during any ‘Daily life’ phase (When no one has been murdered since the last trial) you may message me with your plan and ask permission to proceed. This is to prevent too many murder plots happening at once. Your chances of being approved are increased by a more intricate plan - be interesting!
- Only the person I chose as a blackened, or someone they provoke, may kill
- You may have an accomplice, but only the ‘Mastermind’ of the plot can become ‘blackened’ and win if they avoid detection.
- You may not hide evidence in your own dorm or on your person
Class Trail
- You must vote at the end of the trial
- You cannot present false evidence, but you can lie as much as you wish.
