Not telling them is literally the best way to still get your games to fill here.
Tell everyone theyre jailkeeper
as such I have now included the possiblity of VTs that aren’t actually VTs.
I know this sounds weird but VT is my favorite class in FM lol.
Especially in smaller games.
I don’t like VT’s EXCEPT for when there is something special about the game setup itself beyond roles.
For example does anyone remember the gambling FM setup? Everyone was VT the first time and ability’s had to be bought. I’ve recently been wanting that to be hosted again or at least something similar.
Basically power mountainous is more fun than rolemadness AND standard FM.
On a slightly unrelated note if I were to queue a mountainous how soon could it be hosted?
Vanilla with ITAs or some way to get abilities or interact mechanically is my fav.
I wouldnt mind if those mechanics didnt exist but ppl would prolly get bored.
Ill deffo join if u do it here tho. Ive decided im only joining large closed setups cuz I like getting to know all the new peeps in them.
Depends on size
What about ascetic millers who are secretly VT’s?
Okay, so more polls:
What would make you be able to stand a game with VTS?
- ITAs
- Events
- Craaaaaaaaaazy Mechanics, W H O A H
- VT-exclusive vote abilities
0 voters
Make so ppl can vote multiple stuff
None of the above because cits are fine and you don’t need to bend your vision for your game for people who disagree
After all, it’s just one game
Im fine with VT’s as long as the power roles aren’t too crazy. When a lot of power is put on only a few players it feels kind of unfair. For example, I would be against adding a VT on FoL since the difference in power between them and other roles would be too big.
Events with minor rewards are perfect
Anything but ITA’s tbh.
Maybe even ITA’s if they are done well, but I haven’t seen any version that isn’t either pure chaos or RNG, nor can I think of a workaround.
NPCs solve ITAs
Prove me wrong
It’s less that I hate being a VT than hating being objectively worse than another player.
So for example I would be relatively ok with being a VT if the PR’s came with a drawback, such a being frail or millers or something depending on the role/setup.
For example if you’ve ever played the game 2 Rooms and a Boom I often use the setup:
1 Pres/Bomber
1 Doc/Engineer
1 Blue/Red Spies
1 Blue team
1 Red team
Since everything is only in there once that means the vanilla’s are the only players who can be agro for information, the Spy’s can afford to blow their cover, the doc/engineer/pres/bomber all need to hide from the other team. So thus the “VT” becomes a power role in of itself.
Explain please?
NPCs absorb bullets and make shooting people significantly harder to justify without making it impossible
