I hate making this read, but I saw Silviu typing something for a split second, and then he stopped. Nagl. I can’t prove this, and maybe I shouldn’t even be saying this, but to be fair, it is public information as long as you’re sitting in the thread and watching. I was typing up a post at the time.

Ruri/Silviu are in PoE because they are 0-posters, LiLi/Wazza are there because I feel like there’s a wolf between them, Marl is there mostly for paranoia reasons, pigeon’s there because I think my other townreads’ suspicion of him is reasonable. I still think pigeon’s more likely to be a villager than other players in my PoE, but he’s not exactly at a high bar.

I really want to be able to resolve Ruri and Silviu in particular, because they could be any alignment right now and their very existence prevents me from building a good PoE.

Oh yeah, also. The secret reading method I mentioned about Appel’s slot earlier is basically “how much do I completely disagree with what she’s saying?” I tend to disagree with her a lot when she’s villaging. This game, her takes have been… pure nonsense to me, really (for the most part), and the progression behind them was all out of wack to me as well. Which signals to me she might be a villager. However, she seems more deferential this game as well, which is not what I’m used to from v!her. There was one post in particular that I responded to with the thinking emoji, and that post indicated the deference I’m talking about. I know Appel as a villager who’s super attached to her reads regardless of what the consensus says, but here she kinda just shrugged and let things happen as they did.

Also, her opening wasn’t great, and I find it strange she considers me obvious town in this game when she spent our last game together deathtunneling me for two consecutive days. We were V/V in that game and she was angy (not angry, angy) when she learned I was actually a self-resolving (no meme) village PR.

Together, these small concerns add up and make me think she could still be a wolf. That’s why I’m not putting her in my towncore.

Bleh, claiming to have concerns over Appel and claiming that there’s a wolf in LiLi/Wazza but placing his vote on a zero poster while claiming that the thread is villagery is a horrible look for Vulgard’s slot.

Alright, so, that was actually ‘today’ for me. I had a long day, so I heavily prioritized probing people for info so I could get the thread to start doing something, first and foremost, and so I could keep updating my reads. The last thing I want to do is to get left behind during the most crucial phase, since EoD is nearing. We need to keep going, and the best way to do that is to interact with people – not talk about our own reads, like everyone has been doing for the past 24 hours with no success whatsoever.

The reason I parked my vote on Psyx is because I saw something ~kind of wolfy from them, and everyone has been giving them a pass for meta(?) reasons, which made me uncomfortable. It’s basically the same thing as with Cent, but the opposite, and I was actively looking at people outside of the consensus PoE since I slightly disagreed with it.

You misread my statement. I didn’t say “Lili is in her scum meta right now”, I said “Lili won’t do that (be a hyperfixated wolf) because it would show she’s in her scum meta and Cream and I would call her out on it”. And no, I’m not pushing her. She’s in my townlean.

…Reading it again, you’re right. I thought you were saying that they’re somehow in their scum meta but you also townlean them, which wouldn’t be very surprising, given how little people actually explain their reads this game. Everyone’s focused on pushing and throwing one-liners, but I’m still not seeing any cases.

Why are people voting Centuries, for example?
@Ruri @Silviu200530 @Psyx I’d like to get an answer to this. I already pointed out that the entire thread scumread him, which is a heavy indication that Cent is a villager. I hazily remember one scumcase someone made on him, and I guess everyone jumped on it, because no one’s discussing this slot. I’ve been skimming the posts to stay caught up, but I feel like no one’s really saying anything?

This thread atmosphere has felt extremely weird and stagnant during the entirety of D2, and I can’t be the only one who sees this. I’m the one who’s been away for most of the day, for god’s sake~!

As for why I’m townleaning Lili, it’s because I’m desperate. I just really want her to be town so I can remove more people from my PoE, and if I jumped on her voting Pigeon as a towntell then so be it. Cream also said that she’s town, and Cream is better at reading Lili than me. So whatever.

My opinion of the game is that I really want people to stop using cold meta or 1-2 games as their reasoning for voting/not voting someone.

Convenient, as in “all of your reads followed the general consensus that is likely to be incorrect” which comes from wolves more often than not. If you’re a wolf and we had a bunch of villagers in the PoE, all you’d have to do is to sheep everyone else and let them be killed.

I have no context for your other reads because I’ve been doing other things. I don’t have a meta on you, so I won’t clear you for it because others say so, even though I do acknowledge that it makes you more likely to be a villager. I’m analyzing your behavior directly, and I didn’t like your reads, so tell me; What reason do I have to believe that your reads are genuine and you’re not just sheeping everyone else?

He’s attacking the reasoning by claiming it’s textbook, and immediately mentions the possibility of Chloe being wrong, even when she hasn’t even gone anywhere with this yet.

He’d just floated the idea of me being >rand W for my opening string of posts, but when Chloe starts agreeing with him, he turns it around on her.

At first I thought Centuries was TMIng me V here. Judging by his earlier posts about me, he doesn’t have a reason to go after Chloe, because Chloe’s pushing me in the game’s first hour. She’s pushing someone he’d suspected, if only a bit. Why push her in subtle retaliation?

But then I realized it might not be that at all, and a wolf going from “Vulgard is >rand W” to “Chloe’s W read on Vulgard is questionable” is more of a villagery thing to do progression-wise. Might as well help Chloe arouse early suspicion around my slot regardless of her alignment of you’re a w!Centuries, right? It’s helpful. And I think it’d fit Centuries’ wolf play pattern more.

So, basically, him meandering and stumbling from his early treatment of me toward how he’s treating Chloe’s arguments right now is villagery, I think. It’s a strange progression to have if you’re a wolf. To voice mild suspicion around my slot, and then move toward suspecting the next person suspicious of my slot… it’s like he was trying to jebait someone into suspecting me? And that’s… a weird thing to do if you’re a wolf kickstarting the game?

Admittedly, I’m not really considering the “wolf theater” option, but yeah.

I don’t think it is, because I’m leaning village on both rn (Chloe’s defense of him felt villagery and not TMI-laden, while his posts on Alice felt more aggro than anything his scumgame had ever been able to muster), but the posts you quoted don’t make it impossible at all.
