Bepwei/Jake is pretty much never viable in my opinion
which other possibilities can we rule out

This explains both you willingly wanting to lynch either (As you didn’t have many more scumreads that you could’ve CFD’d onto wothout looking scummy) and your vote on Bep (A bus vote to guarantee your spot in the endgame, as you would be deemed Towncore and it would be nearly impossible to remove you otherwise)

There’s technically nothing saying it can’t happen but I don’t buy that it did
First of all, a bep bus is much more +EV than a marshal lynch in that case.
It also doesn’t explain EoD2, where arete stuck his neck out to show that merc and I were tvt.
