DatBird, unfortunately, did not live through the night.
We found them shittily stuffed into their mailbox, an ironic turn of fate for a man so fundamental to the formation of our community. After respects were paid, we actually checked what they were…like totally normal people.

I don’t actually think we can lose here; Alice, Luxy, Set, and Hja are all clear or near clear (I can explain these in more or less detail if you want), leaving me (obviously I’m clear from my own point of view, this is just for the sake of the rest of you), James, and RedSea left. Even if we mislynch today and tomorrow, that’ll still leave us at a 2v1.

Voting James over Redsea here based on VCA + interactions (there’s one in particular that I wanted to point out).

Airport wifi sucks but as best I can tell this is the extent of Merc’s interactions with James, notably she responded to Hja’s vote on James by questioning it when she wasn’t doing anything like that for other votes (including my RVS vote on RedSea). This, combined with the fact that she didn’t even slightly attempt to self-pres onto James when they were tied 3-3, or make any sort of comment on his wagon at all, pretty much condemns James FMPOV.

Also the fact that RedSea was on Merc’s wagon, though Merc’s interactions with James’s wagon is substantially more condemning from a VCA perspective.

Epic start.

Damn it. I had some burning responses to Hja ready, then the forums went down, and I was asleep when they went back up, and the lynch happened before I could finish my post.

I am really suspicious of Hja at this point too. They’ve contributed very little and is putting very little effort into gamesolving (very few reads other than Alice, actually refusing to give them when asked). Their confidence on their Alice read is bouncing up and down, and they backtracked on it pretty easily despite giving off the idea that it was a confident tunnel the whole time.

Gut feeling, Hja is scum trying to shade Alice since Alice saw through their BS instantly. The tunnel was a lot of effort spent on what was supposedly an unsure read. Assuming W!Hja and T!Alice as per my reads, Hja would know Alice is town and push accordingly.

PoE (proper one this time including nulls) : One of Arete/Hja/James. I’m thinking we lynch Hja and win.

Their playstyle is annoying, selfish, and unhelpful, and that needs to change.

Luxy’s locktown to me, since bussing first day is a pretty awful strategy.

VC’s from yesterday (no, I don’t know why the formatting worked for some of them and not others). The ones that seem particularly noteworthy are 2 and 3 – basically, even when Merc becomes the top wagon with James a close enough second that she could potentially swing the wagons, she never voted or tried to push the wagon. VC 3 is tied 3-3 between her and James and she’s still hanging out on Set for no reason, even when this means she’ll be the lynch. Then instead of trying to swing the lynch at all, or self-presing onto James and hoping he continues to be AFK enough not to self-pres back (which would still send it to rand!), she suicidally claims JoaT.

That’s kind of just the way Hja is. The fact that she’s giving reads at all, even the one she’s giving on Alice, is actually town-AI for her.

Locktown - Dat, Hja (Pushed and Hammered Scum Claiming JOAT)
Strong Townlean - Set
Townlean - Alice, RedSea
James is LHF calling it now
Scum - Arete she consistently tried to shift the lynch off of Merc.

If arete isn’t scum I’d suspect Alice.

After considering that T!Hja basically acted the same way in LotR, /unvote.

Original vote was a kneejerk reaction to Hja’s insanely opaque thought process and weak reads.
