Yes this really threw a spanner in the works for your plan didn’t it? You literally had to resort to ‘act like a really confused towny, who have I miscleared’ while not actually trying to reevaluate reads on anyone.

If I were actually scum I’d have made any effort towards pushing an alternate lynch today after the James clear.

Vulgard made a similar play in LotR.

Every mislynch he’d be like “oh no i’m so shit at this my reads are all wrong aaaah” and he only got lynched when he wanted to be lynched.

It’s an easy fallback option for scum caught with wrong reads or weird behaviour

I was looking through Merc’s Iso and the only players she didn’t shade were Hja and Alice. Since I at least know that she tried the weak shading thing on several townies this makes me more suspicious of them.

I’m just having a hard time seeing either of them as anything other than town. I don’t know.

Well, we’re like 15 minutes from EoD, so I can’t really fully analyze this, but:

• At this point the early push on James looks almost as bad for her as it does for me.
• The weird reaction test thing with Alice feels really town-y. I cut out most of it because most of it was dumb no-uing but it really doesn’t feel like it comes from scum!Hja.
• I’m not liking some of the later interactions with Merc, particularly the random ‘why is Merc being scumread’ that comes out of nowhere. She also kind of feels like she has TMI on Merc’s thought process.

I feel like at this point Hja makes the most sense for being the last scum FMPOV but she just doesn’t feel like scum.
