[VFM] Elf Gold Rush - Game Over. Humans Win!

We’ll see

well -_-

could go either way cant say much

have you seen anything that changed your D1 read on him

yeah I misinterpreted original statement

I’m going back to this and pointing out that both City and WWA (among the living players) liked this, but neither seemed to agree with me on it afterward.

This is referring to Leafia’s early commentary.
I think this obliviousness is town indicative.

I will say he does this nearly every game we play together, this isn’t really out of place.

Min’s early commentary is meh, not really pinged either way by this but it seems a little underwhelming and subdued for them. A bit of a vague read.

Most of the players actually posting with engagement and immediate scumhunting at the start of the game are flipped villagers (one of which we misvigged and another that we misyeeted, sadge).

This honestly looks pretty opportunistic. Sure, it’s wrong, but “you did X in wolfchat” is an easy read to make as a wolf.

Wish this was elaborated upon? Min isn’t really sticking out their head much except when they are defending themselves from accusations. Their entry string of posts on day 1 reads like commentary mode to some degree.

This post is tonally strange. It has a huge air of cautiousness surrounding it, despite being made really early, when he’s not being suspected and cautiousness isn’t warranted. He also apologizes to Leafia straight away while asking a normal question, and that’s not what I’m accustomed to regarding Zone. I’m not sure why he feels so uncomfortable here. Knowing Leafia was a villager just makes this more concerning, because it looks like Zone doesn’t want to be here and is scared of pushback for even the slightest suspicion on a villager.

Calling the scumteam super early. I actually don’t really care for this post all that much, could see this being written by either alignment. Him having high conviction is strange, but I don’t associate his wolfgame with early high confidence, so if anything, this should be towny for him.

I think @WindwardAway was fighting me on this before and claiming his wolf meta has changed?

He sure does feel like someone else, and him being self-aware about it doesn’t help.

More self-defending. Most of min’s earlygame is exactly that. Just defending their position before it’s even really established.

I’m reading these posts and I’m increasingly frustrated that we misyeeted Leafia day 1. I’ve wanted to play with an actual v!Leafia for a while, and here, I was deprived of the opportunity.

Instant confirmation bias regarding his earlygame worldview leads me to believe he actually believes what he says. Or he’s being an aggro wolf, but again, that’s not how I view his wolfgame. Him jumping to conclusions and confirmation bias is something that often happens in his village games, I’ve seen it happen even in MyLo, so.

This is true, but I don’t think it’s wolfy for him.
Min is deflecting here.

Zone is more agreeable than I’d expect from him (and that’s an understatement), min is more defensive (also than I’d expect from them).

This looks like min’s accusing cloned of pushing LHF. Within the first 200 posts of the game. The LHF being Leafia and pigeon, two flipped villagers.

Yikes in hindsight. This looks like a TMI defense. Caveat being that I have no idea why wolf!min would stick themselves out to defend these two when their previous play pattern before this post was mostly defensiveness and commentary mode. That said, this looks more like an accusation of cloned (of pushing LHF) rather than defending two villagers, so honestly it’s more opportunism / partial chainsawing than actually sticking up for townreads fmpov.

TL;DR I Don’t Like That Post.

Also, Min voted no one at EoD, when their vote could’ve saved Leafia by putting Marl up to rand with her. Why did min not vote to defend their townread there? The townread they’ve been repping since early day 1 and fought with me on? Them being frozen with V/V wagons is one thing, but them not defending a townread at EoD when they could’ve literally saved them from dying day 1 is another.

I’ll keep reading, maybe there’s a justification, but given the early townread on the d1 misyeet, I really hate min novoting at EoD.

This post wasn’t written by someone who’s actually read what I’ve been saying.

Like, I have 1/3 of your postcount and most likely 6/3 of your content. Get out of here.

You have 1/3 of my postcount. You also have a quarter of the things I’ve contributed, if that.

I’m actually reconsidering it rn, because he hasn’t really done anything after d1, other than misyeeting Whysper and pushing on villagers claiming they have to be resolved. I mean, I’m no better than him for not preventing it from happening, but that’s still objectively true.

I get people speaking.

And you flood the thread.
Meh, whatever, having an argument like this is a waste of everyone’s time.

Agreed.

I liked it because I didn’t see where min was getting it from, either, but then I don’t remember seeing any more discussion on it, or did I miss something?

well, that’s partly why I had min in my PoE yesterDay but on the other hand it was more due to the fact that i hadn’t sorted their slot than anything else.

…I guess I’ll ISO him later, too. he was in my “to solve toDay” list anyway.

according to whomever wolfed with him in warrior cats (I think it was whysper who said this), he encouraged the wolfteam to take anything they’re usually townread for and exploit it, which is almost exactly what he did. he usually gets townread for death tunnelling so he did that in warrior cats.

that’s the only game i’ve played with him when he wolfed against me, though, and i subbed in halfway into D3 and got killed N3 so i wasn’t there for very long lol.

well, same, but i wasn’t convinced she was a villager enough to shield her from the yeet
i thought maybe she was a villager if Silviu was scum, but both of them flipped town so i was just wrong.

this post is really worth noting, thanks

min was hard townreading Marl, that’s why
I don’t remember the reasons for it, though

I do remember hearing that min has trouble with TMI but I actually don’t remember noticing it in their wolfgames

fair enough, I’m on the fence about both of you at this point but I want to solve your slots and not just pick someone and blindly tunnel because it didn’t turn out too well last time

Me showing other elves that marl is obv wolf and they can vote him rn

WWA liked this and yet I don’t remember her talking about it much later. 2nd time she agrees with me on my min read but kinda lets it fall by the wayside iirc.

Okay, this post feels like agenda and not confidence anymore. The previous ones looked like confirmation bias, but this one comes across like he knows exactly what he’s doing. He’s cocky and sure of himself and there’s no sign of doubt in his posting, when villager cloned should have doubt, considering how many of his tunnels end up landing on villagers.

This is the first actually villagery post I’ve seen from min so far, and it’s not even that villagery, because it’s strictly emotional. Wolves have emotions, too. Min sounds genuinely overwhelmed, but that’s not something I can’t imagine wolf!min feeling like in this scenario, when I’m pushing them.

This looks like classic confirmation bias again, but at this point I’m starting to think he’s doing this to push agenda and nothing else.

Okay, in that case his earlygame is actually pretty yikes, and I’m getting to the point where it goes past confirmation bias and into agenda territory (as mentioned above in this post).

Probably makes cloned/min not W/W but I’m not 100% on it.

Actually, it doesn’t, because of the way cloned sorted his supposed wolfteam. Leafia over Pigeon over min.

By placing two villagers at the front, he’s giving himself enough time to back out of the min scumread later down the line if he wants to, and an easy justification for it (Leafia and pigeon both flip village).

That’s actually very W/W. And also the fabled rule of 3.

because i haven’t ISO’d min yet
idk, I had min as the second lowest slot in my readlist yesterDay with whysper as the lowest
but several people said toward EoD that min was just town so I thought maybe I was wrong
they were in my second-priority list of people to ISO so I’m going to have to make time for it toDay

i’m not convinced they’re town except that their opinions haven’t really been listened to, which does happen when they’re town and they’re right. the weird part is, I don’t remember them giving a solid opinion on anyone besides cloned, really, because he was the only one they’ve been pushing for days (and it’s not even a strong push because nobody except I actually listened to it and agreed).

that’s what I really didn’t like about him
if you read my discussion with him I pressed for why he’s so confident in his reads and yet also stated that he’s probably wrong
and he said he hoped he was right, but knew just by default that he was probably wrong
which didn’t match up with his stated confidence level, and that’s what I agreed with min on iirc.

at any rate, min and cloned aren’t both wolves

he did this in warrior cats to make himself look like a tunnelled villager

which is why i am not necessarily convinced that Nuclear is right that this isn’t wolf!cloned, but I’m also not sure if she was wrong.

guess i covered this point

I’m 100% on it because min only pushed cloned for the whole of D1 and was trying to get people to listen to them

[quote=“WindwardAway, post:5121, topic:88341”]

on second thought the issue is, as i said in my overnight wallpost, that min has no thread influence
so they could theoretically have pushed anyone and nobody would’ve listened

I feel like on a surface level it reads as ignored town, but it also means they can distance pretty safely

i still don’t get why so many people think cloned is a villager, though, regardless of whatever alignment min is
