convertable prince would make openclaiming as prince a lot scarier

FoL 26 was a disaster for cult
When it really shouldn’t have been
they overbuffed BD from the previous 16p FoL setup
I’m not surprised that happened
Like half the neutrals have way too much survive-ability and scum can’t remove them at night even if they want to dedicate 2 KPN to it. That’s problematic. Insurgent was one that rolled in the past that has this problem for instance.
any ideas on how to fix this?
i def learned the hard way this game that my current version of Strigoi basically could not die.
Just nerf their surviveability.
one shot death immunity is usually a helpful amount of survivability without stepping into “I’M FUCKING INVINCIBLE” territory
:sundowner:
do you think arbiter’s survivability should be nerfed as well
or take away it’s Occ/Red immunity
don’t make it bypass bypassing death immunity
even the mastermind isn’t that unholy
maybe limit arbiter’s ability copy to just non-unique (maybe non-prestige if you’re really feeling it’s bad) unseen classes
possibly make marshal a prestige class but remove its double scout?
I think Duke being convertable is fine in an 18er but in a 16er, it’s more debatable. (Bigger swing.)
Proposal:
Prince stays as-is (with Call to Arms cooldown reduced to one night instead of two, but that’s a Visionary change)
Warden has one execute they can use immediately
Prince has two, but limited to Call to Arms
That way Blue Dragon maintains their strength (KP). HoB is supposed to have less KP but more screwing around (like the ability charges removal on Warden), I think we should keep that distinction.
Arbiter being completely immune to nearly everything seems kinda problematic to me. Maybe night immunity would just be enough? You can always take a defensive day ability if you want to be “more immune.”
Guaranteeing Prestige classes is bad in my opinion, because they are significantly stronger than non-Prestige classes. I don’t think we need to go that far with Unseen buffs.
Strigoi might need a cooldown on their bite? Or some other limitation that prevents them from getting healed every time they use a night action.
Maybe they shouldn’t be occ/red immune? Occ/red is the only thing that could potentially reliably prevent Strigoi from biting.
If you guys have any other problems with the setup, please talk about it here and I’ll try to address it. I care about the balance of this setup.
I think last game was super close but Unseen were kinda shafted, which does make me think about Unseen buffs.
I’ll look through Unseen classes and see if any of them deserve buffs. I did that already while balancing the current setup, but Unseen kinda got destroyed. Day 3 was the last moment they could win (I think), and we pushed a mislynch anyway.
