Shower thoughts. Villas in the PoE should be aggressively trying to make the bomb go off as much as possible to Wolves waste KP on ML’able targets.

I dislike this. Players in the PoE should just try to win the game, convince the town that others belong in that PoE and namely the scum. Not just kill themselves off asap.
This kind of mindset incentives the self vote and just kill me now before lylo is reached problem. Climbing out of a scumread is really not the hardest thing ever and as long as a majority of players do not scumread you, you’re good. If one townleader scumreads you and puts you in a PoE, just shrug it off.

Tapping out of the game is just a no no to me. Even if you’re perceiving it to be +EV. (Most of the time, it really isn’t)
if one of the best things you can do as a VT is eat a bullet
This doesn’t seem drastically different

I’m saying that these scenarios are typically not really the best thing to do for town, because ultimately it’s just a mislynch. It just seems like the best thing to both the aggressor and the one in PoE. The aggressor is already scumreading whoever is in the PoE, so they are down a hassle if that person is gone. Being scumread is not that fun, so the one in PoE is made to want to give up more as well.
Like you can’t complain people are giving up and self voting and ATEing and in the same breath encourage them to do exactly that the moment things go south a bit.
I’m not playing in this game, but even if I was in all PoE’s I would say fuck off to anyone that is trying to make me suicide to “escape the PoE”. 
There’s a difference between giving up and trying to get town to use KP on you, and taking scum KP onto yourself that might otherwise hit a “higher value” target

Like I don’t think I’m the kind of person to give up and have fought my way out of a ton of PoEs
But I’ll still play like a PR to try and eat a nightkill over a real one

I like your optimism, but the recent games have shown me the more pessimistic reality.
We indeed need to change the “kill me now” mindset, but I think that if scum and town gaslight each other all the time, the stress will just push them to kill themselves all the time.
Uhm… Have you read the past few games? People in PoE are usually put there by the majority in the first place. A townleader puts them there, and the rest (town and scum) just sheeps their reads most of the time.
There is no inherent value over another here though. Only social credit, which you can work for.
